Yes!!! Salem is a wonderful and awesome place. Not to mention scenic, enchanting and historic. I know there are some Maine folks who live pretty far from Salem, but maybe we could organize an overnight party!!! It could go something like this:

Salem is where I live The Willows might be a good place if your looking for something outdoors down here.
I'd be really interested in going to a get together nearby since most of the cool pony stuff this year has happened to far from me for me to be able to go.

Wait....Salem is where I liiiiive! I have all my life, though because of icky stuff we have to move to swampscott in a week. Uck.

Now I'm curious, there have been pony people around me and i havent even realized!

Same here. I wish I knew there were so many Pony people around here before.

I live in Ri. I have a pony pal who lives in RI too. I'd be interested, but it depends on where it's going to be. I don't think I'd do overnight though.

3 hours is a really long drive! Maybe we could find a place for you to stay overnight, so you make a mini-vacation out of it:)

Hey guys, southern Maine checking in! *waves*

I would LOVE a New England get together! Portland, ME, is about two hours from Boston, and I know you can hop the ferry from there to Salem (cuz I totally did that one Halloween and it was a blast! I wonder how Salem is on non-Halloween days...? ) so I don't think it's that far at all.

If people don't want to drive 2-3 hours or more, maybe look at taking a bus? That's what I'll be doing! I usually take buses when I do my get-togethers in other states, saves me a lot of hassle with gas money, paying tolls, and finding parking.

I know there's at least one other person here on the Arena in my area of southern Maine, I'm going to point her toward this thread! There's at least two Arena members in northern Maine and I'll point them toward this thread too, but I know a trip to Mass would be more like 6 hours for them, rather than the 2 hours it is for me.

Let's make this happen!

PS: As for dates that would work best for me, I work weekdays in an office so Sat or Sun are really my only free days. Hope we can make it on a weekend!

Like I said before, my actual availability is going to be weird...Moving out from my house this weekend, and then moving into a new place midaugust. Then I go back to school early on the 31st to help freshman move in, and have immoveable plans for the weekends of the 14th and 21st of september.

Still want to see this come together though!

I'm taking summer classes ontop of all of this, a most interesting schedule indeed! kjoiehr;sdflskdf

Ooh, I'd be up for this! I've gone to a couple pony fairs, but never a local meet-up. I'm in MA (Boston area) and don't have a car, so I'd be hoping for someplace I could get to by bus/train/whatever. Salem would definitely be doable for me. Also, how far in the future might this be happening?
