Am I losing my mind?

I'm trying to figure out if I'm remembering an old toy correctly, or if it's just my imagination (or maybe I'm confusing a couple toys and smooshing them together).

I have a memory of my friend having this big, long, Barbie camper/trailer thing. When I say long - it was probably about 2 feet long (roughly). I later spotted one at a flea market store, my parents said no

I've been trying to find this on Google, and the closest I've come is the vintage Barbie Star Traveller thing.

It's close to what I remember, but not quite. I thought what I remembered had a closed in roof (that possibly opened up on the side), and was a med/dark brown colour.

Does that sound familiar to anyone?

I had one of those that was bright pink!!

 Also, the front came off and turned into a Jeep!

I vaguely remember a pink one too, I never had one but a friend of mine did. I remember a lorry too, rather than a camper van...

Thanks Kitty - I remember that one, but the side opening is closer to what I'm remembering with this brown-ish one. I know it was definitely a brown/cream/something colour, not pink. Hmmmmmm

I wonder if my childhood brain is trying to put the 2 vehicles together... hmmmmmmm

I remember that they came in different colors.  My sister had one like kittybethy described and that's how I recall it.

I saw the Big Jim camper, but that's definitely not it (too short). The one I remember was quite long (the Star Traveller in my first post apparently is 3 feet long).

The more I think about it, I must just be crazy and combining things that didn't exist

Did you have the old plastic Fisher Price record player? It plays real records... I ask because the colours seem to match it, and its a big part of my childhood - plus I ALWAYS mix and smoosh the details in my memories!

As far as I know, Mattel never made a brown vehicle for Barbie. That would go totally against their typical colors for her stuff.
Now there was a cream one. Take a look at this...there were three versions of that star trailer.

I have that pink one you guys posted about I loved it! But yeah, I know how frustrating it is to try to remember exactly what you had so I wish you best of luck in tracing the van you're thinking of
