Welcome to another cycle of America's Next Top Monster. As in any competition, there are rules that must be upheld. Finalists, please read below very carefully. Thank you.


Monster - You must use the same monster for the duration of the competition. For example, if you entered Skull Shores Frankie, you can only use Skull Shores Frankie - not the Dead Tired version, or the Dawn of the Dance, etc. One doll for the duration of the competition.

Photography - You must take all photographs yourselves. There will be no claiming another photographer's work as your own. If head judge Tyra Fangs were to find out that you were using someone else's work, you will be ELIMINATED! When it comes to photo editing, the judges would like to see as much uniformity as possible. Before each challenge, an example photo will be shown reflecting the special effect the judges would like to see. This may be as simple as a black and white photo, or something a bit more involved. Dimensions of the photo and orientation will also be specified. If for any reason the judges change their minds, you will be notified and given a chance to adjust. If you have difficulty with photo editing, please PM this account. This is modeling competition, not a special effects competition. While some effects do add to the photography itself, in this case they are primarily being used to create uniformity among the entries - similar to the real life version of ANTM.

Hair - You may style your monster's hair in any way. If your monster wears a wig, you may NOT change that wig. The wig displayed in your monster's entry photo must remain the same for the duration of the competition. That is, unless the judges explicitly allow you to do so for a particular challenge.

Clothes - Your monster may model any clothing, whether Monster High apparel or custom made.

Tardiness - You have seven full days and nights to complete each challenge. If your entry is not received to this account by PM before each deadline, you will be eliminated.

Judges - Three full time judges will be joining us this cycle in addition to a guest judge each week. Please give a hearty welcome to Tyra Fangs, Nightmare Nigel, and Janice Witchinson. They will present you with your first challenge as soon as all fourteen finalists have checked in, read, and posted on this thread. As soon as all entries are received, the judges will offer their critique.

Voting - The public will be allowed to vote each challenge for the ghoul who they believe did the best. The vote will be open for two days, and the winner will receive a reward to be determined by the judges - a prize, an advantage for the next challenge, etc. Once voting is closed, the panel of judges will determine which ghoul will be eliminated.

Sportsmanship - There can only be one winner. Thirteen ghouls will eventually be eliminated. As such, the highest level of sportsmanship is expected.

Prizes - You will receive a one year contract with Cover Ghoul, a spread in Morgue Italia, and 100,000 golden Leprechaun coins.

I have to say the photo tweaking thing makes me a little antsy.... I'm such a control freak with my pictures, I do a lot of careful editing to make them look just the way I want, even with something as "simple" as making it black and white. Whenever possible, if the photos should be presented in a certain way, can we know that in advance?
