Lego pony steps!
« on: June 11, 2012, 07:15:58 PM »
Hi all,

There was a thread floating around here a while ago asking about what people used as risers to display more than one row of ponies per shelf. As my pony shelf was rapidly running out of space I started to hunt for things I could use. I tried various things but nothing really worked.

Long story short, I dragged my box of childhood lego out of storage and after some careful measuring (my shelf is exactly 19 standard lego bricks long, apparently XD ) and diagram drawing (I'm terrible at thinking in 3D so I needed a picture to help me remember what I was doing) I put together a set of two level steps. I really only needed one level but I figured that this will accommodate any future expansion of the herd.

Anyway, so I thought I'd share the fruits of my labor with you lovely folks, since I'm quite proud of my little building project

It took me a while to think of it XD.  It was really fun to build but took a lot longer than I expected. I was expecting maybe 3o mins to an hour but it took me all afternoon XD
