So we have a thread to post photos in, but what about different accents?

Arena members are spread across the globe, so I guess there's a whole variety of accents out there..

So, post a link to a soundclip or video of your voice!

If I can figure it out, I'll get it on here ... people say I sound like a less-extremely Southern version of Applejack.  I'm still very Southern, though.

People say I have either a Southern English or slightly Australian tone.. despite the fact I have lived in the North West since I was born.

My entire family have Northern accents (which I can't abide).. I truly don't understand why I sound so different to the majority of others who live here, but I am glad of it!

I don't have an accent though I might be developing a very very very slight Southern one that I notice cropping up now and then after living in Eastern Kentucky for almost five years. My niece who has lived here all her life sounds just like Applebloom.

See, being Americans we don't think we have accents, however to everyone else in the world we truly do have accents. Haha So trust me, I bet others who don't live around you will definitely hear the accent you don't think is there

I've already been told that by friends from other countries and I'm like 'whatever, I don't have one' XP I really do wonder what we Americans who don't have accents sound like to those who can hear one on us.

Well, accent tend to change depending on who I'm talking to or what time of the day it is

I try to speak as close to oxford english as I can.. so I do my best to keep it clean. I might have an ever so slight german accent but mostly I am told I don't and IF I rather spare you, because german it's probably to worst accent of them all.

When speaking german however, I have a rather thick accent, that of the ruhr-area/NRW, but I guess it won't say anything to people that are not from germany.


Also, like RAMChYLD, my accent seems to adjust to those around me.. xD;

This is a really interesting thread! Like RAMChYLD and Fräulein_Kim said, my accent depends on what I am speaking and where. I'm from Chicago so sausage is "saw-sij" but then I spent a lot of time in Champaign, Illinois so they have an ever so slight Southern US accent and I picked up a little of that. I'm in California now and I run into many accents as well the lack of any particular American accent.

My Filipino and Spanish accents are terrible and I should be much better. Hindi is actually passable. Korean is atrocious! (I know tiny bits of Hindi and Korean from friends.)

I've lived in California my whole life, so I'm not sure how to describe my accent.  But I know I don't sound like I'm from the Valley.  (I'm from NoCal, not SoCal).

But I can, like, imitate a valley girl!  Omigosh!

Forgot, my Korean is lousy as well.  But since it is only spoken with fellow martial artists, that's cool.
