Quick question from someone who knows nothing about MH...

Hey all!  I had a quick question for ya Monster High experts out there.  ^-^  My 11 year old sister loves these dolls and has quite a collection of them.  She's asked me to help her find a Howline Wolf (spelling?) doll that she's been looking for and has been unable to come up with anything.


I've not been able to locate her yet...  Any tips or info on this doll would be helpful.  I've no clue what I'm doing!      My family thinks just cuz I collect ponies that I'm the local toy expert. 


Also, a shameless plug - if anyone has her loose or MIB I would be willing to trade/buy her for a reasonable price.  ^-^

Howleen, it'll be She was released in a 2-pack with her sister Clawdeen, making them more expensive than single pack dolls. I think they're still in stores, though they're a Target(?) exclusive. Lots of people are looking for her, but if you post a wanted ad in the sales thread at the top of the page, someone might be able to grab them for you

Chiming in:
When she first came out not all Targets got her in apparently (mine didn't) and those that did only got one shipment in.

The good news is that Target online had them in stock a few weeks ago (for 5 minutes, lol) but it hopefully means we should see more of the packs in the future:) You can find her on ebay but for three times as much >.<

I had a look on eBay for you and whilst there are quite a few of the packs on there they seem to be going for around $70.

As others have said, Howleen is a Target exclusive (Argos for the UK) in a 2-pack with Clawdeen.

Ah, that makes more sense as to why I haven't seen her around.  ^-^ 

So, has she been discontinued yet, or are they still releasing them?  And when did she first come out?  How much does the set retail for?

Sorry for all the questions.  I really do appreciate all the help!

There seems to have been a hiccup in production, as they were released in March but stores didn't seem to get very many of them (about 1-2 cases per store if at all) and I haven't heard any cases of people finding them on shelves beyond that month. The set retails for $29.99 and is packaged at six sets per case.

I've heard rumors that it may be coming back to stores in the fall but so far this hasn't been confirmed. I can't imagine that we won't see them again though, considering last year's Target exclusive pack is still making it's way out to stores and this year's Walmart exclusive also had a problem with distribution initially that took months to sort out before it begin shipping again.

Keep checking the Target homepage for them though, as others have said, it may pop up again randomly in their online database. Here's a link with the DPCI number preloaded to check if/when it comes back to stores in your area:

Alright, here's what I know. I'm in Minnesota and the last time I saw them in stores was probably around March like Mandy said. I was actively searching for them after that and an associate who scanned the shelf tag told me they had been discontinued. I didn't have the chance to purchase them when I had seen them on the shelves so I ended up getting them from the UK. Like others have said, they have come up online but usually sell within 5 minutes. Its quite sad really hopefully the distribution does even out, I know a lot of people are still looking for them.

The link Mandy attached is what I used to find my set. The ONLY set I have ever seen in a store. I checked every morning. Then I called when my local store had it in stock, they confirmed that they did and held the set for me until later on that night.

Oh so close!  I typed in my zipcode and it said one of the Targets had "limited availability" so I called promptly but alas - they were no where to be found.

I got lucky and saw one for sale by a fellow MLP Arena member in the UK. She sold her to me out-of-box for £20. I hope you manage to find one for your sister.

yeah ... NONE of the targets near me got them ... and i wasn't going to drive 100 plus miles to get one ... :\ soooooooo need her too
