Not as purty as those etsy ones but hopefully not bad for first effort, the silver embellishments are partly to voer the ends of feathers at the top but also part of the custom design planning

well.... I have a few wings that I've salvaged and preserved off pet birds that died - these birds were semi-strangers to me - my boyfriend's mom's pheasant, who was murdered by *her* boyfriend (!!!)*the bird's boyfriend-Pheasant*  and two pretty little budgies that I had just gotten that day. A bad stranger cat snuck into the garage at night where they were on quarantine and knocked their cage over. I'm much more careful now.

I know that taxidermy bothers a lot of people, and although I dearly love my animal friends (I have about 15 pets atm, and would bury most of them intact if they died), I am interested in taxidermy as a way of preserving something that was beautiful about them. (wings, fur, I go to the extent of liking beautiful full mounts that look like a snapshot of life)

But yeah, I totally understand being bothered on many different levels by it!

I just have issues with the whole "touching something that came off a dead animal" thing if it still has all the bones and stuff in it I'd be like " can't touch... eeeewww"

Taxidermy animals creep me out too cause it's like they're just STARING at you o.o, watching your every move, waiting for the chance to pounce... they look way too life like and the way people mount a lot of them makes me feel like any second they're gonna come to life and eat me
