What was good today? (The opposite of the WYP!)

I got some good mail today, which I really needed a bit of a pick-me-up.  I got my MLP castle set (with Shining Armor and Cadance), and I also got 10 MOC sets of Lion King pogs.  Now to decide how to display them (yes, I'm being a baddy and taking a few of the sets out of their package..only a few though)

Still thundering! I adore thunderstorms and it has been so hot lately.  64 and rainy is just heaven    It was seriously over 100 just a couple days ago

I got a Green Card at work today for helping to clean up a big spill^^ Those are given out by managers that see you doing something safety related and you can turn it in for a soda and if you get three of those, one of the managers takes you out to lunch. This green card is my second one.

What was good today? Hmmm. Yesterday was decent. Went sailing our my german student who I think potentially fancies me and our Columbian student, it was really good fun, but I caught a cold because my immune system is shot. Damn feels bad!!
Oh well, yesterday was fab and my JW sweatpants arrived today -oh Jack Wills you beautiful designer!

-The marks that the safety belt left on my skin are almost gone
-I'm getting a little extra time for my exams so I can recover from my accident
-I won a digital camera with a contest from Crazy Factory

I found 2 jobs I could possibly do (haven't found any in days) and sent in my CVs to apply for them.
I could also get my Nintendo 64 to work (bought it for quite a steal price but "not tried out, as is, no reserve", so I'm quite relieved), and was happy to realise even the joystick works ^^ now the only thing I have left to figure out is how the heck do I get the sound on (I may have  plugged something to the wrong place, I'm not too good with TVs, and I myself don't even own one - this whole thing happened at my father's house - so I was already proud I could go this far if I manage to work it out completely I might get a small and cheap TV to be able to bring the console home and play with it here).

It's been one of the hottest summers ever (we have already tied the top 2 and we haven't even hit the peak yet) and we've had hardly any rain.  And then it's started raining the last few days, glorious!

Finishing organizing 3 sets of binders (9 in total) so I'm happy about that, and finished all my minutes.

It was the boss's birthday, so we had some fun there too.

And my 2 blind bag ponies I bought off ebay have arrived, just have to pick them up at the PO tomorrow (only wanted 2 specific characters, so this was easier)

Oh, and yesterday hubby and I bought a tickets package to see Cavalia's Odysseo show in a couple weeks - complete VIP package, so we get to go to the stables after the show and meet the horses!!! *squee* Early anniversary gift to us, plus we wanted to see this show.

It's been one of the hottest summers ever (we have already tied the top 2 and we haven't even hit the peak yet) and we've had hardly any rain.  And then it's started raining the last few days, glorious! 

yes, here too... just yesterday we had a talk with my boyfriend about how we do things this summer we've never done before... like sleeping with the windows open (I used to do this all the time before living with him, but since we moved together we've never done it, because he insisted he'll catch a cold like that), sleeping without a blanket on, or having to change sleepwear during the night because we swet like a rainy cloud. and that's just the night, when it's a little cooler... 
last weekend we did have some storms, but they all gathered in the night and didn't last longer than an hour, the puddles even dried up before you could notice them, so they couldn't really affect the weather. today I also woke up to a little rain, and I was so happy! the air feels a little cooler too ^^ however, it has stopped about 1,5 hours ago, and as it's only 10 AM now I suppose by early afternoon everything will be hot as hell again

but to stay on topic: I got to stalk a crow for awhile just now as it was searching for food on the roof of the opposite house, quite close to us. and it has been "chatting" all along, it was really cute! <3 I love animals, and I love to have them around, but living in the main city in flats has a huge disadvantage for me, that is I'm actually happy if I spot a spider on the wall... not so many animals live here (which is quite understandable), there are no trees or green areas for them to enjoy, so when I'm home I don't see much of them (ehm, besides city pidgeons, but they are one of the few I'm not too happy about ). it's quite a rare occasion to see one here this close, and for such a long time (it was here for almost half an hour). this summer we started to have swallows in the city - I don't know where they live, but they are flying around in the sky all day, and at dawn they come a bit down, still up high, but you can hear them already, which I enjoy very much, but still it's something far away, so this little chatty crow coming this close made me really happy right now ^^

what was good today:
it it morning here, but i already got a wonderfull breakfast, have a very important present for my boyfriend today what means much for us both.  i am so excited, i want to see him smile when he opens the package! that will be the best today!!

Got to spend a lot of cuddle time with my husband watching TV before work and then got off of work an hour early.
