Got to go yard sale-ing with my dad today! I didn't find much, but it was still fun. and, I was told that I might be able to get an Axolotl!

I got my room somewhat cleaned up (if you ignore the kind of big pile of stuff to sort next to the wardrobe), oh and I may have hopefully done enough work to get my dog grooming unit at college finished, just need to do a little bit more.

Aw, I got to catch up with a lovely friend who I hadn't seen for such a while..

And a friend who was on the ward with me (with the same problem) has won a competition, and will have her photo on Blackpool Illuminations! Aw, it'll be such a positive for her.. And she deserves it so much. I'm so happy for her.

Well, finally tidied my room, listed loads on ebay, and decided to make a cake for the love of my life because I won't see him again, so yep, pretty good day !:) x

Cuddled with my kitty for awhile earlier. She was smiling with her eyes closed and kept sighing and stretching contentedly. It was a wonderful time with her.

I realized yesterday was 1 year since I officially started my full-time permanent job

My husband and I stayed safe and our power did not go out in the derecho that blew through today.

We went to IKEA and scored a massive 6' x 6' bookcase for cheap yesterday! Then I found my favorite energy drink, Bawls, at the gaming shop where hubbs plays Magic. Later in the night, we went to see Ted. I thought it was hilarious, but the humor is very low-brow. Then I was up until 2 a.m. unboxing my collections and setting them up on my amazing new bookcase. Yesterday was just an amazing day.

Took a nice walk with my dogs (discovered the weenie can climb trees when he is determined enough) and now it's raining!  After the dry start to summer, massive amounts of wildfires (worst fire season in the state's history and it's not even over yet), and a streak of 100+ days, it feels so good to have some rain.  I put all my house plants outside to get the water

My mom came back from her camping trip today and brought me a gigantic rhinoceros beetle.  Adorable creature.  Still working on a name.  Also - discovered a delicious variety of generic brand jerky.  And Hanover Pretzel pieces now come in bacon cheddar flavor.  Got a bed pillow for my favorite doll.  It's been a good day.
