LOVE Frankie's new dress - and omg her boots! So cute! Photos look amazing :) '
Thanks. The boots were originally Clawdeen's but Frankie has appropriated them for her own.  ;)

Off topic but am I the only one who struggles to dress these dolls? I swear my hands are bleeding from my earlier attempt!
I have trouble with some of the shoes. Not so much in terms of hurting myself but certainly in terms of worrying that I'm either going to damage the shoe or break the doll's foot off getting the shoes on or off. Some of the shoes are really tight and/or made of hard plastic. Like with Clawdeen's boots, I'm always afraid I'm going to break off those spiky heels when I try to take them on or off.

I actually did break one pair of Cleo's shoes. The greenish ones with the hourglass heels. The hourglasses both snapped in half really easily. I wasn't too bummed because they'd been poorly made and she was never going to stand up in them but still ...

I ended up running her shoes under hot water. Just slipped off after that :)

I was more worried about breaking the joints in Lagoona's arms as I was trying to pull those off to get her top on >.<

Good idea!

Ah yes. I know what you mean. I think the elbow joints are a bit sturdier than the wrist joints, though. It's kind of annoying how you actually have to take off their arms to get some of the tops on and off ...

By the way, I took some close-ups of Frankie's new outfit:

Your work is so amazing! Thanks for all the tips you give.

The posters are amazing. The Deuce one reminds me of a poster at our library that says 'Read Like an Egyptian', but it would be so much cooler if it had Cleo/Nefera on it!

And you might consider changing 'the Husband of Frankie Stein' to 'The Groom of Frankie Stein'.

Maybe a 'Teen Wolves' poster?

Love to see more :)

Thank you very much, Salli.

Your library's poster sounds pretty interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing it.

I've got quite a few ideas for more movie posters. Back when I did that first one, I only had Nefera, Cleo, Deuce and Frankie. Now I've got Clawd, Howleen, Clawdeen, Ghoulia, and Lagoona as well.

I also have a whole lot more on the way, including some other versions of Frankie, Lagoona, and Ghoulia, plus Jackson, Rochelle, Lala, and the CAM vampire and gargoyle boys. And I've got my eye out for an Abbey. We have the signature Abbey and the SS Abbey in stores here, but I don't like them that much. I do, however, like the DT2 Abbey, so I'm hoping to get one from the States.

Anyway, I've got plenty more photos from my shoot with Howleen and Ghoulia at Mt Mangere, plus I have another photoshoot in mind for Howleen, and also some other ideas. Enough to keep me going for now!

Bought a few accessories on eBay recently and they finally arrived today (well, yesterday, since it's now after midnight). Just wanted to show off the Barbie rattan love seat that was my main purchase:

Thanks. I think it would've looked better against a blue background, but it was proving to be too difficult/time-consuming to invert the background in photoshop, especially in the areas around her wild hair, so I just left it. At least it matches her coloring. It just means that her hair gets a little lost.

I might try taking another photo of her against a blue sky for contrast like I did with this one:

I really like the sunburst colour background. I think it matches her over look!

Yes, it matches her coloring. I was just concerned (as was my wife) that her hair was going to get a bit too lost in the background. I tried inverting the image in photoshop, and the blue looked really cool, but it was just going to be too much effort trying to edit it so only the background was inverted, especially around the edges of her hair.

Instead, I shall take another photo tomorrow with her in front of the sky.

It's funny. Now that I've restyled her hair, I almost can't stand to look at the photos I've taken of her from before. Her "box hair" really is rather atrocious, isn't it?
