Damn, girl, you're really on a buying spree! I just counted my 'herd' tonight. Just hit 39. I cannot believe it.

I'm a guy, and yeah, I have a habit of going on buying sprees. My wife hates it, I'm sure. I'm a child of the 80s/90s American suburbs ... I was constantly bombarded with cries of "Collect the whole set!" It's hard to resist. Before MLP and MH, it was Star Wars and D&D miniatures. I've got bucketloads of them.

Forgive me! (You can tell I pay attention to the gender symbol here. *sigh*)

As you can see, there's a lot of distortion in the mirror. Pretty crappy plastic. I got scratches all over it trying to wipe off the dust and smudges. :-/

Nice. That reminds me of the ANTM shoot where the girls posed in front of a mirror smoking a cigarette looking all glamorous, but their image in the mirror is all nasty. That was my favorite cycle actually. Are you a fan?

P.S. I haven't got a chance to look for that extra sword yet. I will at some point this weekend, I promise!

Can't say that I am. All I know is that they filmed one series (or part of one) down here in Auckland.

No worries. If you can't find it, I might just take the plunge and buy the figurine. Having two swords would be fun. My dolls could have sword fights!

Thanks. I'm glad you like them. As for Plumsweet's hair, it took me many tries to get it like that.

I reckon it's no coincidence that Nefera's name is very similar to that of the real world Egyptian beauty, Nefertiti. Perhaps they are related.

Well ... I put Deuce and the books on a plain white surface and set them up in front of the ranch slider with the white net curtains and then overexposed the shot, which is how I got all the white space. I also bounced the flash off the ceiling to compensate for all the backlighting. Lastly, I adjusted the contrast/brightness/levels/etc in photoshop.

Then I went onto dafont.com and had a look for some cool graffiti/street art style fonts. I used a layer mask in photoshop to make it look like the text went behind Deuce's head (which was actually rather tricky because there was quite a bit of light flaring off his snakes, so it was hard to tell where exactly the edges of the snakes were). I also went online and found that MH logo and pasted it in.

I based the theme on the American Library Association's series of "READ" posters featuring various celebrities. They all say "@ your library" on them somewhere.
 
I'm not getting much in the way of paid graphic design work, and I've gotta keep my skills up somehow ...

Ah, I wish I knew how to adjust my camera settings! I 'm so not technical when it comes to photography. I have the creativity and the drive, but that camera. Grrr. And sets. I'd kill to have some awesome miniature toy sets to work with. Kill!

Your poster totally needs to be put up in schools across the world! hehe. I can envision a whole series of them already!
