My first G1 auction win

Just won these gals and am very happy. I don't actually have very many G1s though I love them so and I got some really neat ponies! Not the best picture sorry..

Masquerade was a filthy mess and smelled of mold and smoke. I started soaking her then realized she had tail rust so i carefully took of her head to find her tail washer had rusted, broke to pieces, and covered her entire insides in rust! I took the pic after scrubbing her outside but i hadn't got to the inside mess just investigated it.


Heart Throb
Twilight
Pina Colada - had to shove a comb between her back legs so she would stay standing
Scoops - teensy bit of tail rust
Applejack - super nice condition
Sweet Notes- hair cut  :(
Lovin' Kisses - her lips have some wear but lipstick still appears!  :biggrin:
Baby Jangles - has some mold along her hairline and a cancer spot on cheek but otherwise really great


overall i'm pretty amazed these guys are mine now, just have to finish cleaning them up and repair Masquerade's rust situation

Congrats! I keep telling myself to stay away from G1s until I find my childhood ponies.

That's indeed a really awesome win! :)


Those ponies look all sweet, and they're in a really nice condition. I especially envy you Applejack, Twilight and Heart Throb (these three I one of the few that are on my "most wanted" list). ;) :)

I was very surprised that other than Masquerade they were in amazing condition! I have so few G1s and my thrift store finds are all usually pretty worn.
