Finally found some stuff at the thrift!

I am so so very excited!  I've been searching the local thrift store for months with zero pony luck (I mean zero... not even a mcD pony to be found).  Today I walked in and who should greet me with her sadly scuffed eyes but G1 plush blossom, begging me to rescue her!  So... I did!  And who wouldn't for 50cents!  Then later today we went to the flea market and I scored a bunch more stuff!  Got 5 G3's (all very pretty in my opinion, but I have no clue on value) for $1 each, and two G2 McD ponies for 50cents apiece!

I can't wait to clean them up!  I didn't take a pic, but I just fixed a Sweet Celebrations G3 castle by making my own balconies using old containers and hot glue and paint, haha... using it to make a display.  It worked very well for $2 total!  I put a bunch of not-yet-cleaned-up G3's on it right now.
 
Plus, another thing I'm thrilled about... I found some of my old toys!  I knew I had them somewhere but I couldn't find them as they weren't where I thought I put them!  Well, I found them in amoung my spring decorations!  Here they are!

I also have a bunch of old Kinder Egg toys I set up.  I'm so very happy I found these little guys!  My daughter loves them to pieces, and now I almost want to buy more of them... sigh.  Will the toy collecting ever end?

it must be week of the blossom plushes, i found one too, but for 4 bucks and her eyes are a LOT worse lol but i love her all the same

Thank you!  And kiwimlp, it was no problem at all.  My daughter wanted to help me carry everything, haha.  She LOVES helping mommy reorganize ponies!

Lovesbabysquirmy, I actually went to the toy stores a while ago, looking for the same mice I owned as a kid and couldn't find them.  now they make brown and tan mice instead of grey ones.  They haven't made this particular set in years, apparently!  I was disappointed because I thought I lost mine!  SO happy to find them now!

I'm glad you had luck in the end ^^ that's how thrift stores work, I know it can be disappointing not to find anything for a long time, but at least if you finally do, the happiness is much greater ^^
oh, plush Bolssom's really lovely! I didn't even know there were G1 plushies made. now I totally want one too

aren't those mice Sylvanian Families ones? I also used to have much of them back in the 80s (I still have them, keeping them for the next generation ^^ ), loved them to bits. recently they have started selling them again, but they cost pretty much  I think they were cheaper (compared to an average salary, for example) when I was a kid.

Loona, I think they are the same ones.  We have seen them sell as Calico Critters here in Canada.  They are the same in my opinion, and very pricey.  $25 for a family like what I have.  The houses are expensive, the furniture sets too... and I know they were pricey back when my parents bought them for us as well, but I think all toys were pricey then.  Now there are a lot of toys that are quite cheap in comparison (when you think of minimum wage now vs. then).
