So Rochelle is starting to pop up in US stores according to peeps on LJ. Not sure what stores as they seem to mostly be confined to 3rd party sellers (eBay, Amazon Marketplace) and will likely be scare for a while yet but keep your eyes peeled, Americans!

Of course this HAS to happen during the month of April when I'm not allowed to buy anything! UGH!!!!!!

Could someone who has both the three eyed ghoul and sea monster CAM do me a massive favor and show me what the  three eyed monster looks like with the thighs and upper arms of the sea monster? I'll be eternally grateful!


P.S. Is it possible to take of Holt's 'hair' and rehair him?

I just took a quick look at my Holt and I think you might be able to get the plastic "flames" off. But I'd be afraid of tearing the soft vinyl of his head. Since I have no desire to remove mine anyway (and even less to potentially ruin him!), I can't offer much more than that. I will say, I don't think I've ever seen a pic or read of anyone actually removing it and re-rooting.

It's not April yet... you could order a few off of Ebay and experiment. For science!

P.S. Is it possible to take of Holt's 'hair' and rehair him?

you can take it off but there's an indented groove around his head. It's on my to-do list to try and see what can be done about it, but it's low priority right now.

If there's an indented groove- I'm sure Apoxie would work.
I've seen people do that with their Pinklestia customs- I'm sure it would work here.

nope, it's not just a groove. his entire head is caved in where his hair goes.

Why Rehair Holt? Reharing Basic or GB Jackson would be a lot easier and just paint him blue since they are the exact same mold just different colors.

I was just wondering the same thing myself Of course, the eyes are different colors too, and Holt has a pierced eyebrow. I guess it would all depend on what you were hoping to achieve.

That's a very interesting custom of Holt and the triclops gal, tuney! It is rather androgynous; it reminds me a bit of a Final Fantasy type of character.

Or perhaps dying Jackson blue would work better than painting?

And that Holt custom is incredible. It doesn't even look like it was ever a Monster High doll.

Edit: Hmm, didn't think about having to repaint his face! That's a good point innit.

Well...then you'd have to repaint the face to be exactly like Holt's if what you want is a Holt with rooted hair. So no, in some cases, rehairing Jackson and painting him blue isn't 'easier' to go. Also, getting the hair off Holt was actually alot easier than removing the hair from inside most heads. So, I'm more up for a way to root him and making it look good then trying to find a jackson, dehair a jackson, paint a jackson blue, root a jackson, paint a face on jackson.

anyway, just saying it's not the easier way to go.
