Hello!

I guess I need to make an introduction thingy. I go by Kytri most places on the internet, and My Little Pony was pretty much my very favorite thing for most of my childhood. I'm 27, and I live in Raleigh, North Carolina. I fancy myself a comic artist but I pay my bills by working in a coffee shop.



Until recently my ponies from childhood lived in a cardboard box in my old bedroom at my parents' house. But last time I visited I brought the box back home with me.  For the most part they're in surprisingly good shape, especially considering how much I played with them.

I wouldn't really call myself a serious collector, I mostly just want to fix up my childhood collection and add to it a bit.  While most of my ponies are in decent shape, a few of them need some extra care that I'm uncomfortable with tackling on my own. I thought I'd sign up here and see what I can learn from the experts.

I'm feeling pretty welcomed already. 


I don't have a very good camera on hand at the moment so it may be a while before I have pictures of them.  I bought some wall-mount shelves to display them on but I'm moving to a new apartment in April so I'm putting off on putting them up until after I move.


All of them have had baths but some of them have stubborn marks and spots I can't seem to get out. Bubbles in particular has some weird dark patches on her side that don't seem to fade no matter what I do. I soaked her in oxyclean for a whole day to no effect. I suppose I need something harsher, but I'm afraid of damaging her. Also Powder is in need of a new horn, but it seems a rather advanced sort of repair so I'm holding off on it for now.


But I digress, any particular threads I should start with?

Welcome to the Arena, we used to have a whole thread stickied with cleaning tips, but it seems to have been lost in the move.  One thing that works well is Mr. Clean Magic Easer, just stay away from glitter and blush.
