Just wait until her new wings arrive!! She will be a stunner I promise.  I would never, ever bait a winger...even if has no legs or head;)

Oh poor cool breeze!! I'm sure you'll do a good job of cleaning her up!
Based on the fact it's Cool Breeze and she is a) one of my favorites and b) sought after, I would restore her :)

If she were say Peachy, then I'd bait her :)

My thinking is along these lines. If it's a pony I reallllllly want, and not terribly common, then yeah, grabby! Having said that, I've never rehaired, and am yet to have the inclination to, so I tend to stay away from bad haircuts!  Never afraid of a clean up though, so if it's smooze or a few marks that need scrubbing or sunfading, weapons drawn.  Like someone else said earlier, I hate seeing ponies baited when they can be reasonably restored. Even if you don't choose to have them in your collection, someone else will likely love them!

Re your cool breeze Michelle, we KNOW you're going to make her look awesome! Looking forward to seeing the results :)

I've never seen ponies quite that bad before, but I probably would buy her! I'd clean her up and then probably keep her, but maybe that's because I'm a "ponies look cool with mohawks" sort of girl. I'd never do that to a pony myself, but if I got one that way, I'd keep it that way. :D

Aww... poor Cool Breeze! I hope you can restore her-- her body looks like it's in pretty good shape so you could probably get her rehaired... and I know that it's possible to make replacement wings for the Wingers, although I've never tried it.

As for rescuing sad-looking ponies, yes! I will buy any pony I see at a thrift store or flea market as long as the price is right... like, I wouldn't pay mint prices for a poor condition pony, but if it was cheap I would definitely get it. I'm glad you did rescue that Cool Breeze-- even if you can't restore her, I'm sure you could sell her to someone else who could.

I would deem her as "restore bait" instead of custom bait. :D

If it's one I don't have, I'd buy it and put it in my collection until I get a better condition one as a replacement. Then, once I get a replacement, I'd customize the bait. That's what I plan on doing with my bait Heart Throb, who is currently on display. If it were one I already had, I'd most likely leave it behind, unless it's less than $1.

If she was at the thrift store?  I'd buy her in a heartbeat; I don't leave behind any g1s (I once bought a hairless Medley.)

On ebay, it would depend on the price and if I was looking for her.

I guess it would depend on where she was from and how much the person or place was charging for her. I won't leave ponies behind but I have yet to buy online and depending on how much she cost and shipping I may pass. She looks like a great project though and I hope somebody takes her and fixes her up! :)

G1's yes. They deserve a cushy retirement after all they've been through. i might try to restore and rehair if the body damage isn't too extensive.

G3's sorry no. I'd leave it.

Her paint (aside from blush) looks excellent! She just needs a bit of cleaning, some rehairing and new wings. She'll look goregous! >w<  I got a pony that I swore was going to end up as bait. But after a good cleaning, I saw how beautiful her body was. All she needed was new hair. She'll look super minty when I'm done! Restoration is so much fun. I think it's more fun than just buying a pony new and putting it on your shelf. :) You get more attached to the cutie in the process! >w<

I love restoring ponies, so of course I would take her home!

My Cool Breeze doesn't have wings at the moment either...

I actually prefer baitier ponies in most cases. I especially LOVE hair cuts and missing tails on some! It gives them a lot of personality. Like, for example, my G1 Cotton Candy is a rich snob because she has a pen mark on her face that reminds me of a beauty mole or whatever people call it. xD

One of my biggest grails is actually a tailless, baity Mimic to add to my collection as-is.

I sure would! I'd probably get someone to give her a new mane, clean her up, and stick her in my collection. I don't have her yet...I'd hate to see her baited. ;_;
