Are there any ponies or gens you are NOT interested in collecting?

I'm currently not collecting G3. I'll buy certain G4 but mostly focused on g1 and g2!

I don't collect G2, G3/.5 or G4, my main focus is on the G1 that I grew up with. I went through half the summer collecting every G3 I came across thinking I was going to love them just as much. Unfortunately though that wasn't the case and they are now up on ebay as a large lot. Those G1s have got ahold of my heart and aren't letting go! Lol

I'm mainly interested in collecting ponies I had as a child. G1 ponies I don't plan on ever collecting: sea ponies, BBE ponies, ballerina ponies, sweetheart sisters, and so soft ponies. No G2 or G3.5, and very limited G3s. No blind bags for me, or anything else without hair. I love seeing all of these ponies in other people's collections, but not in mine.

I am not interested in the G2 or G3.5 ponies at all, I don't like their style. Each gen has a very different style to it - so it makes sense for most of us to not be interested in some of them

I wouldn't collect some MIP/MIB G1 ponies either but I like the artwork, so I've collected a few backcards instead and would like more.  I have collected a few MIB G3 ponies for display, I just got Crystal Crown's Wishing Well but still really want Snow'El MIB! But I wouldn't collect doubles of G3s MIB, only ones I don't already have.  I'm not a fan of G3 Pegasus ponies either due to the mouldings for the wings, but it doesn't bother me that they aren't well represented in my collection because I don't really care about the G3s much as characters to play with, I haven't created a world for them as a whole and I just enjoy the variations that I like.    But the G4s I have MIP are re-issues, so I would still have the earlier release character to play with.  I don't collect G2 at all because I can't get past the ears, bless them.  Some of their accessories are darling though.
