I've had a several cashiers make comments like "some little girl is going to be really happy" when I'm buying several ponies. Quite often I'll just answer with "yes she is!" when I can't be bothered getting into a conversation. But I laugh when I'm buying ponies, with my pony wallet, wearing a pony shirt and they ask if I need a gift receipt. Um. No.

My favourite was one day when I was in TRU a grandfather and grandson came into the aisle with a list of pony names. They were looking for specific ponies for the boy's sister. Of course, I overheard and knew that set wasn't at TRU and told them where they could find them. Reminded me of the many trips to the toy store my own grandpa made with me.

This made me tear up a little, that's so sweet.. Reminds me of my nephew and my papaw. <3

Oh my! It's been quite fun reading all these stories. :D
I really have not gotten too many questions or comments about it.
I did see a young woman on the toy isle one day checking out the ponies. I walked down there going to talk to her, I'd seen her there another time and wanted to ask if she is a collector, and she literally ran away when I went down the aisle! I figure she is shy. I have not literally ran away but sometimes I do leave the aisle when someone else is there. heh :)
Also once an older gentleman ask me "Hello little girl, is it your birthday today?" when I had a handful of ponies going through checkout. I was like yeah I thought I'd get me some ponies for my b-day. He asked me how old I was, and I was like oh 28! And he got so serious, "oh my gosh ma'am I am so sorry for calling you a little girl!" going on like that. hehehe, of course it was okay to be mistaken as a younger age! :D

LOL! Indeed I agree! I used to work in retail and I loved it when the older gentlemen would call me 'miss' instead of 'ma'am' XD

I have a gen 3 pony sticker on my name tag at work and it makes little girls smile. One day I was super annoyed at work and wound up sounding like apple jack from FIM. needless to say some little girls mom herd me and called her 4 year old daughter over. She asked if I could do that again and I did and her little girl got wide eyed and excited. They both walked off with smiles.

My little niece and I found a large stash of blind bags and tossed them in our bag to bring to the register.  We planned to split them between us.  The cashier asked us if it was someone's birthday and my niece blurted "No, they're all for us!"    And the cashier gave me a stern look and rolled her eyes.   I still have no idea what that was about.  :P

I bought something from the Wal-Mart I work at once, and when I paid for it, my co-worker looks at me and goes "So, you're you one of those bronnies? He's an older man and was generally just curious, but I thought it was funny, and I said "Yes!" xD

Just got another package in the mail full of ponies.  <3  Naturally, I had to open it at my desk and start styling the ponies' hair on my lunch break.  One of the technicians walked in, stopped, and asked, "What are you doing?"  I was holding one of the ponies with rainbow hair.  I said, "I'm trying to divide the colours.  It's hard.  I need more fingers."  He said, "You are a strange girl."  I laughed.  Later he poked his head in again and said, "I felt like I intruded on you, like I needed to walk out and shut the door."  I laughed more.  Word quickly spread after that comment, and I heard one of the other guys say, "in public?!"

Still later, one of the older gentlemen stopped by and said he wanted to see which one had a new hair style.  I showed him proudly--it was a complicated braid.  He asked, "Why did you order those?"  I do so wish I had a picture of my expression.  I can't imagine what it must've become, but he quickly corrected his statement to, "I meant, WHERE did you order those?"  XD

Also, that bumper sticker we're talking about?  I want one, too!
