Where to find missing/lost thing in YOUR home!

Has anyone seen the book I was reading last night?  It seems to have wandered off between the  living room and the bedroom!

I need some online inspiration lol. The short of it is I moved out of my parent’s house back in December, and as I've settled into my new place have transferred over all of my old stuff. My stuff got stored in my parent's basement over the years as I set aside things that I knew I wanted to keep, but had no space for in my room (95% books lol). But I am missing two small totes that I know I kept, and I would reeaaalllly like to take with me.

I've torn the house apart over the course of a week but I'm obviously missing that -one- place where they are lurking lol. So, when you guys have lost items, where have you found them hiding at? Have the places you've found things at surprised you? Or have you found them at all?

I always loose my cellphone! Its usually buried in my blanket, camouflaged into the black couch, or stuck in the couch! haha!

I found candy in my purse last night at lunch! yum yum!

The other day I was searching like crazy for a notebook...  went all the way entrance door-kitchen-stairs-room over and over searching for it and just couldn't find it *sigh*.  It was on a desk right before my room...

Where ever husband put the pile of stuff that SHOULD HAVE been put away... I always have to ask him where the pile is though, because it's rarely in the same place twice
