I once did all of mine by colour, just for fun. Too crowded, but it was worth it to see the look on my husband's face when he realized how many there were! And there are more now... don't think I'll try it again.

Now I just keep my favourites out and give them breathing room, and switch them out once in a while.

sets mostly.  There is a little randomness with the G3s, but yeah, as a rule in sets.

Mostly just by type. I don't like sorting them by colour because then I'd have a huge chunk of pink and nothing else. ;P

Mine are a chaotic mix with all generations mixed in.....well, G4s are the only ones by theirselves. And most of the G3s in my collection are still in storage cuz I have no room for them right now.

1st in Generations, then i break it into 'sets', or in G4's by wave.
Then i just throw all rules aside because i dont have a lot of room for them so they sit all cozy on 1 shelf (its a deep shelf) haha

@Saply...I love the different carriages all together so cute! Why must the nicer purple and orange ones be the ones in playset/accessory packs...they are so much cuter than the one Rarity came with
