So I just re-watched Raven's webisode. Was that part at the end with the locked up brother always there? I don't remember seeing it there the first time.
Yup, they even mention him in the intro episode. It looks like they already have two lines of dolls they can made. I like their fancy 'gala' outfits shown at the beginning.

I believe that Frankie was the only one shown at this year's Toyfair. Not really my cup of tea, but they're kind of cute. I wonder if any more characters are planned?
They're fun, but the Rag doll ones are much cuter in my opinion.

So, "Royals" seems to be the ones that are promised "happily ever afters" and "Rebels" the other ones like villains and side-characters that don't really have "happily ever afters". I like this concept
And I like the doll pic too, I'll have to get them! Dropping my Novi Stars collecton for this one!
Yeah I take it as characters that are "pure of heart" versus characters with parents who have obvious "flaws" like: Cedar being the daughter of Pinocchio who lied, Maddie being the daughter of the Mad Hatter who is crazy, and of course the Huntsman who was going to kill Apple's mother. Characters with flaws seem to always be more popular since people can relate to them easily. I find the Royals unlikable at this point, and am rooting for the Rebels lol. I'm excited to see where they take this series.

I was just thinking how great it would be if wave 3 Picture Day includes Clawdeen, Howleen, Robecca, and Venus. It would be great to get new deluxe dressed dolls of Venus and Robecca in more modern fashions 
*drools* Add in Rochelle and yes please!  I wonder if there will be a wave 3 of PD, or if they'll give us another new theme for the evolving sig ghouls...
Ooh yes,I would add in Ghoulia too but I realized that Scooter Ghoulia is technically PD Ghoulia,Same outfit,hair,makeup etc.
I would also like PD Skelita,Jin & Cupid,Its probably too late for Cupid since she is at EAH now,
How great would some Picture Day boys be! Also Dead Tired boys would be fun but I doubt Mattel would ever suggest co-ed sleepovers lol

Actually I think the Royal/Rebel thing is less about whether or not they want to follow their destiny, and more about just their roles in stories? (For example, Maddie is just fine with following her dads footsteps? She doesn't want to 'rebel.')
I think its more simple - like the Royals are the typical 'princesses' who get a 'happily ever after,' and the Rebels are - well, everyone else, including bad guys like evil queens. I don't recognise any non-princesses in Royal so far, unless Bo Peep is in there...
But basically I'm just excited about the Maddie doll! She is precious and considering I grew up wanting to be the Mad Hatter rather than Alice... I can identify with her 100% haha c:
Also as an animation student - these webisodes are -so- much more polished than MH! Absolutely gorgeous art direction. Love them.
The quality of animation is amazing. I'm not a animation student but it looks like MH is done with Flash Animation and this is actually animated with 3D models, which makes it quite beautiful! I am very excited for this new line like everyone else

I'm fond of my MH Cupid, but for some reason she doesn't totally click with me. Excited to get the "new her"
This is such a MAJOR release deluge, especially for us Canucks used to being way behind... How to deal?! 
Guess I'm going to pop in to TRU again tomorrow and see what's arrived here...
