Good riddance! The fullsize dolls are terrible imo and I've always hated them. They look so cheap and are incredibly overpriced compared to what they were trying to compete with (Monster High) and just, other doll lines in general. I'm primarily a doll collector but still don't own a single fullsize EQG doll. They're just awful.

Cellyzombie: Well, *I* think you're just AWFUL and I don't like you either except maybe as a food source and even then, I'm afraid I might get FOOD POISONING!

*sniffles*

Alright now you, stop insulting my fellow board members. :sits zombling in crook of her arm:

Cellyzombie: She started it....;-;

Sorry guys, the end of the full size line is a bit of a sore subject in this household. But I even ran a full essay on it a few weeks back, I have to agree. u.u Hasbro messed what could have been up so BADLY. And I will miss my lovely full size ladies. I want a doll you can change her clothes and experiment with styles, not an action figure. The only Mini I'll get will be Celestia if they ever release her....everything else would just literally be zombie food.

Cellyzombie: I'LL EAT THEIR NEW CLOTHES STEALING FAAAAAACES!!

: shoves a chicken dipper in the zombie's mouth quickly:

Carrie

Can you link us to this essay? I'd love to read about it.

i dont own any of these, but does anyone know if you can customize these (without rerooting)?? Have you ever seen it done really good? I would love to know.  ;)
There are AMAZINGLY well done customs on YouTube, some could pass as official Hasbro products. The Minis are very popular and thee customizers are popular too. Look up "Equestria Girls Mini customs" on YouTube and you'll see what I mean.

Here's an example: Gloriosa Daisy from the new Equestria Girls movie

It's interesting to note that the "Minis" logo on the packaging is completely gone and we haven't heard much news about the regular full sized dolls. Here's my theory: the Minis are a transitional phase in the Equestria Girls toys. The dolls haven't been selling well and a lot of people have been asking for show accurate Equestria Girls. Hasbro released the minis as a spin off line but in reality it was Hasbro's way of slowly rebooting the line. That's why the dolls have little to no promotion but the Minis are getting a lot of attention.

No Legend of Everfree doll commercials.

No cheesy live action music video.

No promotion anywhere besides the movie (which was promoted pretty well)

But the Minis, however? A short series, commercials, a website, really everything. And now Hasbro drops the Mini part in the logo because the cycle is complete: the Minis are now Equestria Girls main toys. THIS was Hasbro's way of doing a reboot without really getting anyone mad.

And I think they've succeeded.

Spotted in packaging on Ebay!

Wow, those are adorable! I'm not the biggest fan of the Guardians of Harmony packaging though. But this could mean that we get more BOYS! If they're trying to market MLP to be gender neutral, and they're making Shining Armor this early in the line we could see a Big Macintosh or Thunderlane, meaning, we get molds for BOYS! I'm pretty excited!

Also, I'm pretty happy for a regular version of Flurry too. The crystal version was cute but they didn't color in the other parts of her hair! Now we have a proper Flurry!

Here comes a thought (that might alarm you :P) My theory is these are for the 2017 movie. Hasbro wants it to be special, and they wouldn't release regular old brushables so they want to do something BIG for the movie, y'know? To make it stand out. I think the regular ones we're used to will come back the year after the movie is released.

Eh, I don't like these either but I think they might sell well with kids and parents during the Christmas season because it's a cheap way to get some brushables and a Equestria Girl Mini. Some kids might like it, but I don't think the bronies or we might like it.

I'm just glad these aren't the Rainbow Rocks Equestria Girls Minis. I was worried since they had Rainbow Rocks strips in their hair, but now I'm glad we'll be getting new molds for that :D

Pony Corral / Re: Hey Hasbro, here's an idea: Expansion Packs!
« on: May 31, 2016, 05:52:35 PM »
We all hate it when Hasbro re-releases the Mane 6 and the occasional supporting character over and over again. But, this is sort of necessary, since they are the main cast of the show and there might be new fans of the show who want to get the characters they see on TV right then and there, but they can't since most of the toy store is filled with supporting characters.
This feels contradicting, not sure if a mis-match in your writing though.
Oops, you're right, I wrote it wrong. What I meant was if Hasbro just completely stopped releasing the mane 6 at all costs and just released supporting ponies. While, in theory, this would be good for us collectors, it would be a nightmare for newcomers.

Pony Corral / Hey Hasbro, here's an idea: Expansion Packs!
« on: May 30, 2016, 05:14:15 PM »
This is an idea I thought of a while ago, but I'm just now posting it.

Here's an idea that keeps everyone happy: G4 expansion packs!

What is an expansion pack, you may ask? They're packs usually used in video games or toylines that expand upon already released material. Say for instance you had a game, and your game is great and all, but it gets boring and you need new content. You can make an expansion pack to make the material already in use better!

Hasbro can totally do this with G4 ponies! I'm surprised they haven't already.

While this may be good for us collectors who want variety, it might not be for the little kids and fans who are newcomers. So, I propose an idea that will keep everyone happy, the expansion packs!

How they would work is Hasbro can continue the Mane 6 re-releasing all they want, but the expansion packs include the ponies fans have been asking for. Hasbro can set up online polls to see which ponies that fans would want to see next, and if that particular pony is wanted, they would be made for the next pack. There could be themed packs too, like winter ponies, spring ponies, background ponies, candy ponies, older gen ponies, the list goes on! This way, everyone is happy!

Even little kids would like these ponies. I bet there are some kids out there who are sick of the Mane 6 (and now Starlight) being shoehorned into everything, and are looking for something new. These ponies would reel in sales like crazy!

There would be 6 ponies that come in each set. They're exactly like the Fan Favorite ponies that are released every year, but released every quarter. One in January, one in June, one in September, and one in December. They'd sell like hotcakes.

I think the starting price would be 30 bucks for each set, like the Fan Faves collection.

Well, that's my idea, feel free to add suggestions, ideas, ponies you'd like, your dream collection, or more!

Wishes a Hasbro Executive is reading this

Pony Corral / Re: Hasbro Annual Report Out
« on: April 13, 2016, 04:04:48 PM »
I hope that this doesn't spell doom for the entire Equestria Girls franchise in general. I would honestly LOVE to see the movies continue, but the dolls taking their leave? I'm okay with that. I hear that the Minis sell very well, and to be quite honest, I would love to see the brushable dolls take their leave and the minis be the new face of the franchise.

And if they can't continue the movies, I would like to see Sunset Shimmer come back to Equestria. And maybe a TV Show? I love the humans at Canterlot High too much  but, if they discontinue the dolls, I think I would be okay with that. I never collected the Friendship Games dolls, I just stopped at Rainbow Rocks.

I love girly, pink, and glittery things so when I heard that the new My Little Pony reboot was actually watchable, I was INSTANTLY magnetized to it. I love pastel stuff too so the G1's and G3's are like candy to me :D while I still love G4, the color scheme and overall idea of G1 and G3 is just

Price Check Archives / Re: 2011 play set price check?
« on: March 25, 2016, 12:39:05 PM »
I think about 50 bucks is about right for them. They initially retailed at Target for about 30 bucks but it is a little bit older so I think 50 should be in order. I just got this set a few months ago for about 40 but that was in early 2015 and it's a little farther off. If they had bangs, however, it would be a little more valuable, but 50 should be plenty.
