+1 for white ponies of any kind, but especially white with purple hair (that's my favourite colour too ^^ okay, next to black, but there aren't any black-haired ponies* :( )

*disregarding custom-made ones, of course  :P

also I have recently discovered I have an obsession for yellow ponies with purple hair. I never liked yellow as a colour that much, but I just happened to realise I liked all yellow-purple ponies I came across so far
(in this order. purple-bodies ponies with yellow hair don't really look all that good :/ )

I used to have hissing roaches. My favorite girl was Requiem and she wasn't supposed to live at college with me but I took her everywhere. I also had giant millipedes.
aww, giant millipedes are a long-time dream for me, I hope one day I'll be able to have some, they are super cute ^^
do you know how long their lifespans are? the next time I will be ready again for a pet I'd prefer one that lives a bit longer, I've seen so many of them go and I've had enough heartbreak because of that, I don't think I could bear another anytime soon :(

I've had frog for years, I miss them all so much!

First were some freshwater frogs that lived with my fish. African dwarf frogs, not the huge white ones, but tiny brown ones. I got a bunch of them from a store and learnt the hard way that juveniles tend to try and jump out of the tank :'( Once they grow a little older there's no problem anymore. I had to lower the water level and close all the possible gaps.

After that I found some cute and small green frogs and bought 3. After I got them they never stopped growing up and ended up being bullfrogs :o Bullfrogs are forbidden in France and even more forbidden to sell because of the damage they can do if released in the nature :s I called the store about it and they didn't care, nearly reported them for selling forbidden frogs but figured I might get mine taken away so I didn't.

Now that I live in China, it's a common food here, you can buy them alive just next to the fish section. It broke my heart the one and only time I saw someone buy a few and the shop assistant just chopped their heads off X(
I used to have those too, the small brown ones. they lived together with my fish, but later my fish (catfish) got so big I didn't dare to buy new ones once they passed away.
I always wanted to have the big white ones too, but I haven't seen them around for awhile. a guy at a shop told me there wasn't much interest in them because they'll get too big, the dwarves always sold better.

aww, I can understand that :( I would have been heartbroken too, frogs are my favourite animals, and have always been for the past (almost) 28 years of my life :lovey:

huh, that is strange O_o
it reminds me when my boyfriend was getting emails from some guy (from a company address too) a couple of months ago, but he never knew the sender, nor did he know what he was talking about. my boyfriend has a really common name and has it as his email address (written in one word), maybe the guy sending the mails thought it belongs to someone else with the same name. at first my boyfriend didn't give a damn about it, but in the end he got upset and replied, telling the guy he's sorry, but it's not the address of the person he things it belongs to, and the mails stopped coming.

Okayyy.. I am just undecided. Also not sure how much spending money I will have.  >_<
aww, I'm in the very same situation. I would love to join*, would soon be in need of candy as preparing for my final exams will be tough, and we have lovely Hungarian chocolate and candy to share with someone, but I'll have to count, organise and think it over if I'll have the money.

*if I can. I've seen at a couple of swap therads that there usually are some rules considering trade counts or how long someone's been a member, but here I haven't seen any.

aww, so cute animals! congrats to everyone for having such nice pals ^.^

right now I don't have a pet unfortunately (only plants. loads of plants  ), because I currently live in a house we rent, and we're not supposed to have pets here, and also I am away for a couple of days quite frequently, so I wouldn't be the perfect mom for one now, but I had a number of pets in the past, and I am definitely willing to have more.

here are some (maybe) unusual ones I used to have:
- a stick insect named Cornelius. got him from a schoolmate who used to have 2, and they once decided to have a family, which meant that in quite a short time she had about 500 stick insects instead of 2  so she started to bring them in and give them to schoomates. I loved insects, so I loved to offer a home to one (and no more, I just didn't want the same "boom" to happen), I loved the little guy, he was so funny.
- 2 firebellies
- 2 glass shrimps (don't know their English names, sorry. the latin is Macrobrachium lanchesteri). it was really funny to watch them eat, you could see the food's way inside them  :P
- 2 giant Affrican snails, not at the same time though. Teargas was my first one, (s)he (snails are hermaphrodites, hence the brackets) was a bigger one with brown shell, and Nyunyó was my second one, a smaller snail with yellow shell. I love them both, they also had funny eating habits, for example, Teargas always ate at night, and just when you were almost asleep (s)he started to chew - gosh, it was so loud!

the only one I can show a pic of is Nyunyó, all the others lived with me long before we had a digital cam, and I don't have any scanned pics of them :(
but here's Nyunyó  :inlove:

I hope they have endless loads of lettuce where (s)he is now, may (s)he rest in peace.

whoa! I've just seen this set at the local Tesco a couple of hours ago. they seem to be their own brand, so your mother must have bought the box in one of these in Poland (now as I look closely the logo's also visible in the picture you linked (in the bottom left corner), but yesterday when I looked at it I didn't notice that).
that is one great box, judging from the pic you linked I imagined it to be much smaller! now I see why you were that worried, such a big box must have taken up at least half the space in her suitcase

(if you want to know the price ask me - I didn't want to write it straight here because you may not want to know exactly how much she spent on it - although of course the price may have been different there - I just thought it might be a good reference on what they are worth in case you decide to sell them)

I don't know what I'd do with them... I wouldn't want to make my mother disappointed, but if you say she's not that kind you may try to sell them. you may get a bigger price for them if separated, but imho they definitely look much more cool and are worth more mint in their box.
