but it's more likely that symbols can change with age (like how baby Bowtie has 4 bows and adult Bowtie has 6)

The baby ponies are seperate characters, though. They're not baby versions of the mother ponies.
I understands that, but most of the baby ponies had a smaller number of symbols than the adults, so it seems like they get more symbols as they age. Of course, we never see them grown up, so it's hard to tell for certain.

I think there was an implication in RaMC that Ember didn't have her symbol because she was young, and that she would get it later.  At the time the writers would not have known that Hasbro would eventually produce newborn ponies with symbols, or even the Year 3 babies.  Ember was literally the only baby pony in production at the time.  (In three colors, LOL.)

I don't think freckles are a good comparison, since they're random skin pigmentation, whereas a symbol usually does tie in to a pony's personality.  Like, a balloon symbol can be interpreted in various ways--for Surprise, it symbolizes surprise parties, for Up, Up, and Away it symbolizes parties in general.  BUT there aren't any backcard stories where a pony with a balloon symbol turns out to absolutely hate balloons and parties.  Whereas if someone had a birthmark in the shape of a balloon, this might well be the case.

It would be a stinky turd with a party hat. Their name would be Party-Pooper. Her accessories would be frowny-faced stickers and a wet blanket. :silly:

I love this idea! :lmao:

Would these be the ones from Argentina?

This theory has already been somewhat of my headcanon, but I don't think Sweetheart's symbol is a birthmark. It's very representative of her character, but it's more likely that symbols can change with age (like how baby Bowtie has 4 bows and adult Bowtie has 6) or if there is a shift in the pony's personality (such as Sweetheart's trait always being sweet and caring, but the symbol expanding when she discovered nursing was her calling.)

I don't think there's really anything more to Cotton Candy's symbol besides the design team finally deciding to give the ponies symbols and going "Okay, stars, flowers, clovers... what are we calling this one? Cotton Candy? Eh. Dots look kinda like little balls of cotton candy. Good enough. Next!" :P

Seven for me.
I have them on two lanyards to keep work and home separate.

Car Key, mailbox key, 2 house keys (main and kitchen door) and then my work keys: cashbox, doors, and alarm.

Is your Tux's tail so short because of the curls or has he been clipped? He's very handsome. I'd say $70 or $75 for him as long as he hasn't had a trim. $65 if he has since he's still rather nice. By chance, is he stamped HK or China?  ;)
It's just the curls. ;)
Here he is before the makeover, so you can see.

And he is stamped Hong Kong. Does it affect the value?

As soon as the opening credits started rolling I knew they were gonna do Deadpool justice. I'm mainly a DC fan, but Marvel does really awesome movies. So good. I'm really happy that it's been successful. *sigh* If only they had put that kind of work into Green Lantern. I loved him as Deadpool, but Ryan Reynolds was perfect for Hal Jordan.

I will say, I'm disappointed that he didn't sing "Bananas" by Gwen Stefani like he did in the test footage. That was so freaking funny. Hopefully it'll be an extra on the DVD. And I REALLY wanted Deadpool to recognize Stan Lee (maybe ask for an autograph or something) when he made his cameo, but the cameo was still gold.

And I can't believe people bring young kids to a rated R movie. Honestly, I definitely could have watched it as a kid. I was pretty desensitized to nudity and violence by elementary school and I can only imagine what this new generation is like, but I feel like parents would be more overly protective about what their kids watch? :/

Nail polish remover + symbols... :(
Same... I had never had issues deflocking before, but of course, my favorite SS pony Twilight's symbol got messed up. Luckily, it was the NDS symbol and the DS symbol came out fine.

Pony Corral / Re: How do you motivate yourself to sell ponies?
« on: February 16, 2016, 09:08:40 PM »
If you can't clean them up, try to sell them as is. Some collectors like to clean and style their ponies regardless, but they might not go for as much.
Put multiple ponies in one picture. It saves time and if the buyer needs additional pictures you can take those as they come and it won't be so intimidating.

Get a scale to weigh packages. I got a little accuteck for $16 off Amazon and it helps.
Keep a small supply of packaging (bubble wrap, envelopes, and boxes) at home, so you don't have to shop every time you need to sell.
Use the automated mailing centers if you have one to avoid post office lines.

And, most importantly, think about how many pretty new ponies you can buy when you sell the ones you don't want!  :P

Mine was G3 Island Delight.
I was in middle school at the time and somehow I had no idea up until that point that My Little Pony had ever made toys even though it had been my favorite show for as long as I can remember. *glares at mother* So I was absolutely giddy when I saw My Little Ponies in KB toys.

My first G1 purchase was actually a group of G1s and a carry case I bought from emery on ebay as Christmas present to myself. I totally cried when I got them. lol. I'm getting teary-eyed just thinking about it. They're like the "childhood" ponies I never had and I've kept all of them.
