I noticed a difference between them when I was prepping a bunch of ponies for customizing. It was something about the rooting pattern, I just turned to my mom and said "I bet this one is a China pony," so I looked and it was.

I second that this is a good idea! As it is, I usually post restoration questions in the Customs board. It would be nice to have a dedicated board where we could compare methods and share tips.

I just dealt with cigarette smoke on a bunch of ponies recently! Here's what I did:
1. bath in warm water with Dawn and then dried in front of a fan. (this is probably optional)
2. Put them outside in the fresh air (it was a really nice day when I did this, I don't know what the weather is like near you, but it's getting pretty cold here now)
3. Spray them with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water every hour or so.
This got rid of most of the smell, and some of them smelled really bad when I got them!

I did! I had one fakie (who may still be around) whose hair was always braided into three or four small braids and then braided together!

Haha, yes! I have a Dal and she still hasn't found a chair she can sit it. The big head just makes her tip over.
