This was too crazy for me not to look up.  It seems like it's Barbie Stable Styles Playset

what a weird concept

Pony Corral / Re: Princess Accessory Confusion

actually think for princess wand colors My Little Wiki has some good photos that show the difference a little clearer because they are set against a white background.

http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/Princess_Wands

Even with that I have more than 12 different wand colors, which I guess is due to yellowing.  I even have a completely orange wand that I got when I purchased someone's childhood collection, so I'm certain it's not a replica, just very discolored.

Its real :) Its a UK release. Princess Ruby it came with.

Hmm, I'd be surprised if it came from the UK.  I bought it in the US from a girl who was the most meticulous child I've ever seen about keeping all of the accessories with every pony and she definitely had bushwoolies, not dragons.  More confusion....

The Spikes from the two castle releases are definitely different colors, though I can't tell from the photo exactly which one you have, you kind of have to compare them to each other.

I still have my complete childhood lavender castle as well as the  MO Spike and I've had a few "normal" Spikes come through as I've been collecting.  The MO and "normal" are a similar color with maybe slight batch variations, but the lavender spike is definitely brighter.

Also, I could be wrong, but I don't think there were any yellow banners included with the lavender release.  They do look good with it though and otherwise the two little nubs near the gate look kind of empty :)

Price Check Archives / Dream Beauty Barrette ID and PC help
« on: January 10, 2016, 12:47:13 PM »
I recently got a lot of miscellaneous accessories where the collector/seller had identified some of them as Dream Beauty Manewaves accessories.

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

At the top of the photo are what I think is completely faded (pink to white) Manewaves hair extensions.  I believe the bottom right bird and lily barrette is hers as well.  I've put D.J.s barrette above it for comparison.

The lot also had the two lily barrettes pictured in the middle.  I'm less certain about these.  They are not the same color as the two on the left, which I got with my Poof n' Puff Perfume Palace and Birds and Flowers Pretty Ups, respectively.  The top middle one is less shiny: could it be Crystalline's or just a batch difference?

The bottom middle one is slightly darker and maybe a smidge purpler:  Could it be Sky Flier's?

Also if they are IDed as the Dream Beauty accessories, what would they be worth?

I don't collect Dream Beauties, so I'll be listing them for sale/trade if I can properly ID them. :)

Thanks!

Pony Corral / Re: How do you organize/store your accessories?

I do ziploc bags by set, sometimes I use small bags for individual ponies if there are more accessories than just combs and ribbons.

As for keeping track, I use my accessory database.  There's a link to download a blank copy in my signature. :)

Oooh! I had a problem opening it, though; which version of Excel did you make it with? Maybe I need to update.

It's probably my horribly outdated version of Excel.  This weekend I'll try to re-upload it from a different computer and PM you when I've got it fixed.  I would be completely lost without my database :)

Pony Corral / Re: How many ponies are there in the G1 US releases

In my database, I have (not that I own them all, but I do have them listed)

464 - US releases
58 - Mail Orders

It includes multiple versions of ponies, doesn't include So Soft Sleepies, Dream Beauties, or Petites

I don't want to collect them all either, but I like to know which ones I'm missing :)

It looks to me like Confetti/Satin n' Lace/Something Old Something New OR
Pretty Puff's depending on the band size.

The utensils for Paradise Estate are tough to find, though I eventually tracked them down and I think the glasses for the Schoolhouse are difficult too.

They appear to be really close in color.  This photo shows the comparison (it's not my photo, otherwise, I'd paste it below)

I'm not sure it helps without having Quarterback's comb, but it's all i can offer.

Glad you had success with the pipe cleaner.  Good luck with the rest of her cleanup :)

You can use a toothpick to sort of scrape out some gunk, if it's softened by some hot water/oxi clean. It works pretty well.

Once when we were out of toothpicks, my husband had the brilliant idea to use our waterpik.  It works great, but they are expensive so I wouldn't have bought one for this purpose, but it is a lot faster. You don't even need to pre soak.

I've also used this to clean some seriously nasty brushes that didn't respond to soaking and it works well.

Good luck :)
