Off Topic / Re: Non-Pony Brag: STARDUST

Nice find! I had a Stardust of my own when I was younger, although I'm not sure what happened to him. Might have to go on a hunt through the basement tomorrow...

The first 2 Anna and Elsa series books will be released in the US tomorrow as both E-books and hardercover books.  The first 2 books look interesting. :)

I saw both books at a Barnes and Noble the other day, actually! $10 a piece, which isn't bad for a hardcover. They're short but they look cute, but I did decide to pass on them.

Hey , has anyone heard when the new Frozen LE dolls will be released yet? :what:
They haven't been officially confirmed yet outside of the Radio Disney Club, which is a French website that tends to be pretty good in terms of rumor accuracy. If the dolls are happening, it's likely that they'll either pre-release sometime in January or February for a March pickup, or just be made available for same-day purchase some time in March. The short comes out in March, a bit earlier than the Tangled Ever After short debuted, and the Wedding Rapunzel doll was for pre-order in February with a March release date.

I'm never quite sure if people like it "ironically" or actually enjoy it, but... Space Jam is pretty terrible. Actually, it's awful lol. I just hope Michael Jordan was paid well for that, because I'm not sure how else it was worth doing.

And despite my love for certain aspects of it, the Haunted Mansion movie is also kinda bad. Okay, it's probably in really bad territory.

I actually opened my box a little while back, but I'm only now able to post about it! Gotta love holiday craziness.

Anyway...

ZennaBug was my wonderful swap partner, and she did a great job with picking things out! The first peek in the box was already exciting...

And then even more exciting once all of the goodies were out!

But, as always, my favorite part is getting to unwrap everything and see what's inside. And Zenna's choices did not disappoint! Two types of tea plus a variety of individual tea bags, some really yummy chocolate, and that adorable mug! I love all of it!

From a Disney doll tumblr, we have our first Frozen Fever pictures!

I think Elsa looks great in the greener dress, and Anna's vest and sunflower motif is really nice. Assuming these will be the looks for the new LE dolls, I can't wait!

The Disney Store now has the deluxe singing sets for Anna and Elsa! They're the 11 inch dolls but they come with a bunch of accessories and things. I have the Tiana from this line and she's really lovely.

ETA: Also, I somehow managed to find Hallmark Elsa the other day! My sister and I were wandering the mall, and both of the Frozen ornaments were sold out, as I expected. They had a shelf of Frozen things, though, and there was a single Elsa there! I wasn't going to get her since I found the Disney Store ornaments, but as my sister said, "If you put that down you will literally never see it again." And she liked it, too. Then a few days later she found Hallmark Anna in Target, so now we have three ornaments per sister.

Not sure if anyone's seen this, but pictures of the upcoming Cinderella movie dolls have been found! here's a photoset (it's a tumblr link, but this blog is completely SFW)

Surprisingly, the Mattel dolls look loads better than the DS ones.

Off Topic / Re: What's on Your Christmas List?
« on: November 30, 2014, 08:13:47 PM »
I'm never very good at making lists, lol. I usually want a few very specific items that I end up buying for myself, like certain books or dolls or whatever. I'd really like a dress form this year, and the Couture de Force Elsa figurine. Maybe the Frozen skating dolls from the Disney store.

Honestly, I end up buying most stuff for myself after getting holiday money, and I'll get some things I didn't get from my little list. Other than those few things, I'd really like to get some Big Finish audios, maybe the new LE Elsa doll that's coming out in March. Honestly, there isn't much I really want this year.

Ugh, brief moment of disappointment. I've been looking forward to seeing the Hamilton Collection Elsa as something other than an artist's rendering, and in reality she looks kinda awful :/

The render is from the Hamilton Collection site, and the real image was recently put up on the Bradford Exchange UK site.

AHHH! I want those dolls! :squee: So Im guessing for the LE maybe another coronation Elsa or new outfit for her and Anna's outfit is going to be in the one in the skating set?

I think BH6 will be about the same a Wreck-It-Ralph in popularity, but not nearly as big as Frozen. Im sooo excited to see that movie!! *hopefully* I will pick up the Honey Lemon and Go Go Classic dolls today! Since its family weekend, theres probably a lot of people there snatching up the dolls.
The silhouettes are just the regular Classic dolls, I think. Kristoff at least is definitely just the 12 inch doll, and the girls look like the dolls that came with either deluxe doll set. So the outfits could still be anything!

Oh no, another album?! Still trying to finish the first one, and I have a ton of duplicates if anyone still needs to trade.

If they go with a movie outfit, I would love to see the coronation dress mid-transition to the ice dress. She'd have the braid and no crown, of course. And there's a brief moment in that scene when the designs on the dress turn to ice before it spends over the rest of the dress. I think that would look really nice, if they could do it right.

But I'm gonna guess that they'll be in the dresses from the short.

Some of the dolls have click rubber knees, others have hinged knees. I know the skating dolls have the hinged knees, but IMO they're the worse of the two options. For whatever reason the hinged knees tend to make the dolls incredibly bow-legged, and they look... less than classy, when you try making them sit.

I hope Elsa gets a new dress for the short. I love the Snow Queen outfit and the LE doll, but I'm tired of that being pretty much the only option for her dolls. I'm on the fence about buying the skating set because she's so similar to the classic doll. Even on Once Upon a Time, my sister and I were joking that Elsa must only have one dress!

And I think people would be unhappy about a re-release, no matter how different they made her.
