Bobbi's been just hanging around my "DO SOMETHING!" box since I acquired her in the winter. While the paint rubs are there to stay, intuition said her hair could be saved to be worthy of a Fashion Star again. Intuition was right and luckily so, because I like that mint green.

I gently separated the tinsel from the rest of the hair, then slightly less gently worked through the rest with a metallic comb. Or ripped, it was pretty knotty and I went on like "whatever." I shampooed and conditioned the whole mess in warm water and rinsed the curls carefully, squeezing them in my hands, and behold! they sprung back into place. I don't even know what happened to her tail, but it sure looks amazing now. I've found the same method of restoring factory curl to work for ponies as well.

I'm curious about Magic Message ponies… As G1 collectors know, they have heat-sensitive changing symbols that tend not to change anymore over time. Just how unusual is it to find MMs with working symbols these days? Anybody got one in their collection? Photos?

I've been compiling a list of adult Lemon Drop variants to resume my army building after a looong hiatus, and a few questions have popped up. In case someone is interested, I'll be happy to share the list in the near future (i.e. once I get a proper layout done), but there are a few pieces of information that need to be verified and/or completed.

Greek Lemon Drop seems to come in two versions: one with purple, the other with light blue symbols. I've seen photos of both versions MIP and it seems likely to me that the light blue version is a true variant instead of faded. Opinions?

Anybody got an Italy Dwarf with airbrushed eyes, stamped "© '82 Hasbro Pat Pend / Italy"? I know ponies in the dwarf mold sometimes have AB eyes but so far I've seen only one such Lemon Drop.

Are there two different piggy Lemon Drops, one with solid purple drops as symbol and the other with highlights to them? I've seen at least one photo of the latter.

How about a NC Lemon Drop with darker symbols? Does she exist? Anybody got one?

A quick visit to the Nirvana Gallery and 2) now I know of 2 Italy Dwarves w/AB eyes (do I?); 3) yes, there appear to be 2 of them; 4) still the only one I've seen.

Here I am again, pestering the Arena with questions and requests. So… There are two different HK Lemon Drops stamped on 4 feet: mail order and regular playset release, of which the MO version is supposed to have light violet symbols. (See this thread.) Could some guru possibly post a photo comparison of these two? I've read enough descriptions already and would greatly appreciate some photographic evidence.

Now I'm not a G3 collector, but have a project involving the 2005 Spring Basket (w/Dainty Daisy, Spring Breeze and Lulabelle) in mind. Please enlighten me - is this one hard to find unopened? How much should I expect to pay?

She has several minor flaws as follows: some extra plastic around the neck seam, 1 plug missing from bottom of mane, topmost plug about 1/2 shorter than the rest, most pearlized coating on the eyes is gone, tiny rubs to blushes, 2 very faint pink spots on NDS (barely visible in the photo), symmetrical dents to both ears (odd, huh?), some uneven plastic above NDS eye, rattles inside. Sounds worse than looks I guess.

Edit: forgot to add that she has "S.K." written in ballpoint under one hoof. Not visible on display...
I don't really know what to do with this pony. (S)he (I remember reading somewhere that Goloso's in fact male ) is a flea market find I've never loved - I absolutely loathe this pose and would be more than happy to trade him/her for a wish list item of equal value, like one (or several, depending on the ponies) of the more elusive Lemon Drop variants, but I could use a PC to begin with. Also, give me a shout if you happen to be interested in a trade (or buying, but I'd prefer a trade - I'm here for the ponies, not the monies).
