Now what? Macau Snuzzledrop
« on: May 27, 2013, 04:36:39 AM »
Forgive me if I'm doubting a perfectly innocent pony, but... have a look at this gorgeous non-bleeding-symbol Macau Snuzzledrop up on ebay (click to enlarge):

Perfect Italian eyes complete with misprints, a shorter-than-Macau mane and a head that does not quite match the body = do I have reason to believe she's actually a mix-and-match of a Macau body and Italy (Snuzzle?) head and possibly tail?

I'm glad you posted this! I was checking out this pony and almost put a bid on her but I didn't because there just seemed to be something not right about her that I couldn't put my finger on.
So I guess that means she isn't supposed to look like that then?
The seller mustn't realise. I've bought from the seller many times before and I've always been really happy with my ponies.

Looking at the pictures I'm pretty sure I know who that seller is. I agree they probably don't know or has anyone sent them a pm to see if there is an odd story behind it?

From the picture she definitely looks "reheaded".

Before I read your text and just glanced at the picture, my first instinct was that the head didn't belong with the body :( Those eyes are just too Italian to be Macau, and the head/body mismatch throws it off as well :(

They probably are who you think them to be. I don't know whether someone has messaged them, but I haven't.

My thoughts exactly.

No, she isn't, and I'm glad you didn't bid.

I'm glad I didn't bid too.
I thought about messaging the seller after I read this thread, just to let her know. But I didn't really know what to say and I was worried I would upset her. So I haven't messaged yet. I might later. I just need to think about what I might say for a bit.

Thanks for posting this - very educational for a newbie like me.

So I saw quite a bit of this while I was trolling international eBay sites this past weekend. As a newbie all I saw was that there was a big color difference between the heads and bodies - which I know can occur .. but moreso they just seemed "off" like a mismatch. Coming from the barbie/doll arena though I know people do this so I'm always careful ...

It would be great (if it's not out there already) to have a page with all these differences pointed out, like what to macau eyes look like, Italian eyes etc. Hungry minds like mine want to know :)

No prob. The Arena galleries are down atm, but I hope they'll be transferred to the new site soon. Hmm, what else can I think of... Kitkatvintage has a very informative gallery on Facebook; she's a member here as well. There's no such thing as a comprehensive Nirvana guide, but that's part of the thrill.

I just noticed this link. I had read this thread earlier, but not checked back recently. Thank you, I'm really flattered!
