Since all of the prototypes appeared on the same day- the sudden appearance of Bon Bon and Spitfire makes me think that Octavia (and the DJ) are not far behind.
I'm pretty excited- Octavia is my fav since she plays the cello :D

Yeah, I've also given up on getting every Funko... I think I'll sell off all my Rainbows and Ditzies, then get Sweetie Drops (and Octavia if she's coming out?)
Any pictures of them out of package yet..? I heard that Lyra and Pinkie were REALLY rough like the quality just nosedived from Fluttershy and Dr. Whooves. I like smooth vinyls...
(Also, what were they thinking with Spitfire's eyes? We tend to see her with her eyes sort of narrowed/half-lidded, but she looks like she's falling asleep there!)

Someone said that it may be a distribution breach, so they aren't supposed to be out yet... Whoops.Or it could be the store. We get merchandise in with dates on then for when they maybe released to the floor to sell. Sometimes it is a few weeks in advance, sometimes not. But if someone is not paying attention they could put it out. We are not supposed to and I know stateside can be fined if we do so for some things.
I gave up on collecting the whole bit, so I'm collecting the ones I want most... But that sucks because once Octavia comes out ill have to buy her buddy vinyl... But I love those two so its cool...ugh.. Why so many ponies but not enough room... (Gets the hammer and boards, gonna build me a pony house)haha lol yes me too :D
Lyra and Pinkie are REALLY rough. I'm hoping maybe the later waves will be better and I'll be able to trade them in at the store for better ones. Their display cheeks are terrible and the hair is really not much better.

I don't think these were found in Canada. The person who posted the photo may have been from Canada and may have taken the picture from EQD. If they are on the correct shelf and that tag is correct, those look like US prices. Canada prices are usually higher.

For those of you who saw them (or had a chance to rummage through them) - did you see the clear version? I assume there will be a translucent version - but don't know for sure.Nope, they were all plain. Also, there was a lot of characters to choose from so I guess TRU's cases are more varied than HT's.
I am very much looking forward to the official release date of 9/2...

Because sometimes people make mistakes. Whomever put them out probably didn't check for a release date. They weren't even priced on the shelf. From my understanding they can get in big trouble selling things before their street date. They will be put back out for sale in less than 3 weeks. Odds are the employee that put them out isn't the one that told me that unfortunately they couldn't sell them. To me a pony isn't worth getting worked up for or getting someone in trouble over what amounts to an honest mistake.

Exactly. It seems pretty entitled and bratty to have a big stink when the store was just following the rules. So an employee made a mistake and put the ponies on the floor too early. It's ridiculous to suggest that this somehow requires the store to sell the ponies to you when the system won't even let them be sold yet. How spoiled can you get?

Today I found Spitfire & Sweetiedrops at Toys R Us, I also saw the Funko Cupcake figures & the Fashion style glitter 2 pack, also some Shadowbolt Dashies. I bought Sweetiedrops, They seemed to all have some issiues like stray paint marks and a rub on her tail. It did not ring up at the register, but they sold her to me anyway. I went back later for Spitfire & they were all removed from the shelf. here are some unboxed pictures of my figure.Sweet :biggrin: I'm guessing Texans are ultra nice, i'm definitly adding all the regular Funko ponies to my Christmas list :DSpoiler

My TRU has never sold any funko figs at all, so congratulations to all those of you finding these amazing prereleases! They look lovely in the photos.
I was so mad today...went to TRU and they had Spitfire and Bon Bon out so picked them up. Went to check out and they wouldn't ring up and asked for a price check on them. Well I guess who they asked must've been a manager because he came back and said sorry we can't sell these to you, they weren't suppose to be on the self until Sept. Arggghhhhh! It wasn't my mistake, I was so mad!
It probably that the boxes simply did not have a street date on them. So they were stocked. However they are not in the system so stores may not even be aware that they should not be on shelves until they attempt to ring them up and come up against the street date.
Holy pony luck today! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them! Had barely any issues with mine, someone came over fixed it and was on my way had a nice chat to with the guy about bronies, he said so many men ages 20-30 come in and buy there stuff, he said that no one believes him when he tells them young men are one of their largest customers for My Little Pony :) I said yup I am one of them! They were really helpful manager came over and let me buy them, also got the favorites collection too! Thought about the glitter fashion style but decided to think about it more. Also then went over to hot topic and found a nice upgrade for my sparkly pinkie in much better shape!! And decided to buy some replacements of regular lyra and pinkie since the ones in the mail were not as good! Amazing pony day!wow , in what state are these showing up ??

Sweetie Drops looks like she's AMAZING. No flaws or anything. Can anyone confirm that? I was so disappointed with Lyra and Pinkie, hoping these are better.
