Celebrating the tiniest members of our herd!
The tiny pony swap includes but is not limited to Dolly Mix Ponies, Breezies, Teeny tinies, tiny tins, petites, blind bags, McDonalds, baby ponies, you get the idea.
REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN
Must be 16 years old
Have at least 10 positive trader/seller feedback
Must be a member for at least 3 months, and stay active by posting at least once a week on this thread.
RULES
1. Once signed up, NO DROPPING OUT OF THE SWAP FOR ANY REASON
2. The minimum spending amount is $15. This can be one pony worth $15, or several ponies equaling $15.
3. Please also include some treats and or snacks.
4. Tiny extras would be great, but not included in the $15 spending amount.
5. Please wrap your gifts
6. This will be a secret swap, so please DO NOT message your partner.
It will ruin the surprise at opening time!
7. Do include a card or note letting your partner know who their box is from.
8. Once you receive your box, you must post pics in the Tiny Pony Swap brag thread & leave feedback for your partner.

I love crocheting, art and crafts, reading, video games, horror and fantasy, retro cartoons.
I love Discworld (have read all of them) and Final Fantasy VII (I love Cloud Strife).
I love cute chibi animals.
My favourite colours are pink, purple and blue.

I love chocolate (except Hershey's), jelly sweets and marzipan.
Not a fan of peanut butter, licorice or hard boiled sweets.

I am a NM collector, but will take breezies without antenne as long as the hair and body are in nice shape. I will also take any condition petite pony.

I have a cat who has a ton of toys...he does not need any more, especially after I do the monthly dig them out from under the couch routine :)

Condition: I love ponies in bad/repairable condition that need some love. The only thing I turn down is a pony with chewed off feet or something of that nature. I cannot sculpt or fix anything that way. Rehair projects, dirty ponies, marker ponies ect. I don't mind.
1. Petites: I don't own any currently, but I had several as a kid. My favorites are Sundrop, Magic Star, Topper and Whirly. Any petite would be accepted into my herd.
2. Wingers: I knwo they can be pricey if bought mint. Again, I buy usually bad condition to baity. I take any winger and even doubles. They can have missing wings and hair ect.
3. Dolly Mix: I'm not a huge fan, but I do need the Applejack to go with my AJ pony arm.
4. Baby Ponies (I don't really collect babies, but if some of my others are hard to find these would be babies I wouldn't mind having. Also, I don't really know prices for babies, but I figured most are in the budget. I hope)

Hmmm I like things with caramel or fruity snacks like skittles. I’m not a huge chocolate fan. Also love minty things!

I’m allergic to strong smells so nothing like that please; also my other half is allergic to cats. I don’t mind stuff from a cat home, but maybe put a note? That way I know to keep her away first. Then I can wash it before she gets near it.

I like hanging out with my family, traveling, singing, making jewelry, painting, drawing, writing poetry, reading fantasy novels (i.e. Narnia, HP, LOTR, Inkheart trilogy, Neverending Story), playing board games, watching family-friendly films, learning new crafts, painting, keeping up with friends/family on Facebook, decorating, organizing, trying out new recipes, going for walks, spending time on the beach, stargazing, and drinking coffee. :-)

I love cinnamon and root beer flavoured candies, cookies, cakes, fudge... all kinds of dark chocolate, or milk chocolate if it's paired with biscuit, nougat, nuts, peanut butter, caramel, raisins, or coconut. Also Jelly Bellies, Dip Dabs, Giant SweeTTarts, Runts, Starburst. I'm not a fan of salty licorice, chocolate-orange combos, or gummy sweeties like Haribo since they hurt my teeth.

Fall winter is okay...color theme not really as I wouldn't want all of the same color of stuff. No Halloween themes as I just don't like the holiday at all :P.

Many ponies are way past the 15.00 limit and will cost a whole lot more than 15.00 to buy. Are we supposed to go by the value of the pony with this swap or what we spend on the pony? In most of my other swaps its value and not what we spend. The thing is its really hard to find Dolly Mix now and a few other small items and I am not sure the value of these since some we don't have a guide for for any of the G3 line. Any ideas?
2. Are we allowed to put ponies on our list that we know are going to cost way more than 15.00 a piece? Or should we keep our list only those ponies which fit in the spending limit?

Good questions, tulagirl! The only other swap I've ever participated in (which is still going, in fact) is hathorcat's Make a Wish (List) Swap. I'm guessing it's somewhere in the middle between value vs. actual price paid, but let's say we just happened to find Baby Princess Sparkle or Baby TAF Sugarberry at a charity shop or garage sale for mere pennies (don't we wish?!), I imagine we still wouldn't be allowed to include them in the box since there's such a HUGE discrepancy between value and price paid. As for me, I kinda just copied and pasted my current wish list, grail ponies and all. I will happily edit it down to ponies whose values don't give my partner a heart attack when he/she is assigned to me. ;)

It's value that counts, not what you spend. :) and it's not a good idea to have an item on your list that's worth more than the swap budget because it's 99% likely you won't get that item and even though people generally overspend on swaps, it's only a requirement to spend the $15.

It is the value, not how much you spend - you might happen to already have a pony which is on your partner's wishlist. If there is anything you are uncertain of the value it might be worth doing a price check. It is best to try and list items which are within the spending limit.
$15 dollars is the minimum spending limit, which means you can include whatever you like in your partner's box as long as the value is $15 or more. It's not that you would not be allowed to include a Baby Princess Sparkle or a Baby TAF Sugarberry, but don't be disappointed if the box you receive in return is not worth as much (ie. $15). Although people usually go over-budget, it is not a requirement.

Yes this is what I have always done with swaps. With this one though its different because we have little things on our wanted lists that I am not certain of the value at all. In the past I have always considered value being the most important rather than what I spend. I agree its not a good idea to have higher end ponies on your wanted lists for small amount swaps. I think the biggest reason for me not to include them is that if I have more of those than the value ponies people will really be stressed out trying to find ponies they can afford because there are so many expensive ones taking up space on the list. If I put lots of ponies on my list that are in price range, they have an easier time shopping for me. Small lists and lists with expensive ponies have stressed me out in the past and made the swap not so much fun at all.

As for me, I kinda just copied and pasted my current wish list, grail ponies and all. I will happily edit it down to ponies whose values don't give my partner a heart attack when he/she is assigned to me. ;)
Yea just make sure you have lots of ponies on your list that are in the value of this swap. I wasn't mentioning this to anyone specifically though...it was just a thought I had because, I didn't see this mentioned in the directions of the swap. ;) Because lets say I do go shopping at the thrift for 1.00 and find Mimic or Baby Princess Sparkle or even Baby Crumpet...I am admitting ahead of time that I am selfish and fully intend on keeping them for myself. ROFLOL :lol:

I apologize if you mean me. I am having a tough time keeping up with the swiftness of this swap. I've only ever been part of another swap and the rules and time schedule are completely different. Like, with that one, we were allowed to add to our lists but not delete. After what tulagirl said, I am trying to make sure I have a varied list with more affordable options for my partner. I hope that's okay? I am not going to delete anything, don't worry!
Edit: I was going to delete some of the more expensive ones before partners were assigned, but I was too late. So I'll just leave my list alone. If my partner happens to find one of the higher-value ones for $15, that's fine, too. I would be just as happy having only one pony, pal, or friend in my box as I would with several less expensive things. :)

Yea she said you could add just not take anything away. That sounds like what you are doing is adding some extra items and that is okay. This swap is moving fast..very fast. We really only have a month. Yikes...runs off to poke around on the internet for more goodies.

I have 3 cats - Maya, Shiva and Britje.
When my partner like to add anything for them cat toys are the best choise.
But please no cat food - 2 of my kitties need special food..so toys are always the best. All 3like things with Cadnip.

Hmmm.. the only hthing I don't like is Harshleys Choolate and I can't eat anything with sugar substitute-so only real sugar for me.
And I'm no fan of nail polish and I don't have pierced ears.

I've been away from collecting for a bit as I just had my third baby boy (he just turned 5 weeks old) so I've got a newborn at home. My three year old loves Rainbow Dash. ^_^ And the two year old just likes to be included too. Maybe some stickers...? Or a small coloring book? Or any of the G4 McDonald ponies (not the G3 - they'd know the difference :lookround: )

Well I am back now after a two day nightmare I hope to forget forever. We had a storm and lightening hit a tree and the house. It damaged a lot in our home. We lost a tv, phones, stove in the kitchen..the airconditioning, cable and internet systems. We were very lucky to not have been hurt actually. It was a bad strike. If we had been on the phone, taking a bath or touching electronic equipment we might not be here. :shocked: As luck would have it my husband and I were eating lunch watching tv when the strike happened. It caught our tree on fire and sent fire down on the roof. Its been horrible. We had power but several spots in the house had no power.. Then I had a kidney stone attack in the middle of the whole nightmare with extreme pain, no air conditioning...sweating and in pain. Now nearly $3000.00 in the hole we are back online but still dealing with major losses. I am a little stressed out and still in some pain, but not like I was. My air is fixed, the tree is down. I still have to get phones which Dad said he would buy. Bllaaaaaa sniff....seriously...why me? :cry: About the only thing that would make me feel better is if a huge truck full of G1 ponies MIB showed up at my house ROFLOL. :lol:
I will try to see if I missed any questions. I may be in and out some due to health issues. I won't be gone and in spite of it all I am still putting my swap box together.

Thanks everypony. I am pleased to be okay. The pets have handled pretty well, although now Louie Lewis is really scared when he hears thunder. He didn't use to be that way. Poor kitty.
Yea I think so as I have cash set aside for swaps and things. I acutally had bought quite a few things already, I just have not gotten them in the mail yet. I am going to have a really hard time finding tiny accessories so hopefully I will be forgiven. I am just going with regular size accessories right now. I might have a couple of tiny things though.

Well, my parents just called and they bought us new phones so that is a huge blessing. I am still sad though. I lost my Hello Kitty phone. Baaaaaaaaa I loved her, but she got surged I guess. I can answer her but can't call out on her. I mean of everything I lost this one I shed a tear over. My mother is like, "hey thats not that big of a loss." Dad says, "I looked for fancy Hello Kitty phones for you..they didn't have any." I told him you have to purchase her at TRU. He just laughed. Seriously though this is a sad thing to lose HK!!
I know we have lots of time, I like to shop early and fast so if I need to buy out of the country for some reason I am not biting my fingernails waiting for mail...or if I get this duh seller that ships wayyy slow. Just like to have it done, but I wasn't finding the stuff I wanted until just a few minutes ago I found something really cuuuuuuute!! Its tiny too....yay....here is hoping nothing goes wrong with the mail.

On a fun note I added two items to my partners box today. yayayaya There are three things in there. Things are going well so far.

Today when the mail carrier brought my mail, I heard a loud sigh when he dumped my lot on the porch. I was just slightly embarassed as I bought a lot of stuff for myself in addition to the two swaps I am in. Guess he feels over worked with my mail. :blush:

If you are still having problems don't hesitate at all to ask the swap host to have your partner add items to their list. It happens sometimes and it looks like you have some offers for help also, but if you need a few items added...thats perfectly okay to ask for. I wish I had done that with a swap I was in last year. I was so stressed out, I thought I was going to have to go on medication over not finding anything LOL.

Two weeks ago I went to a car boot sale for the first time since moving to Scotland. We arrived late and I still found a bag of G3s w/ accessories in great shape, and, of all things, Fiery the Dragon!! I was hoping to have similar luck when we went back yesterday (it's held every other Sunday), and while we found some awesome stuff, there wasn't a pony in sight. Not even any good extras for my partner. I was so bummed.

I would love to give this pony to my partner to make her happy - but the decision is - "only these special pony" - or should I better leave it out and go on with the ponies I snapped before for her ?
I'm afraid that my partnercould be sad when there is only 1 pony in the box... I guess I'd never send before only 1 pony... but ofthe other side I feel she'll love it, never expect it and that's the better choise the a bunch of others.. hmmm!

Its okay to send one pony!!! Certainly is. I know how you feel though...even with the price of some things I tend to send at least 2 but its not because I am worried about their feelings...its because I want to give and find so much joy in adding a little extra. So go with your heart! It will never fail you.

Would you like a non MLP pony for an extra? I really don't collect fakies or horse related figurines just because, I am running out of room. Three exceptions would be kawaii ponies, Squinkie ponies and LPS teenie ponies. :P Those are things I can store in my little toy containers. I have all these beautiful figurines and do get to enjoy them because I have no place for any of them anymore. My dolls have taken over my glass cabinets...I am running out of room for toys even....ahhhhhhhh runs away screaming. :bolt:

Wow, that's kinda freaky! I've been down to England a couple times (visited Birmingham, Stratford, Bourneville, Blackpool, and the Lake District), but never to London. We are hoping to head down to the Warner Brothers studio for the Harry Potter tour in the next month or two. If we go down in October, I'm hoping to convince my husband to let me attend the UK Ponycon. :P
We also know a lot of English folk, though not surprising considering we live in a university town. It's nice because there are people from all over. Scotland is very similar to England, though also quite different. Definitely worth a visit. :biggrin:

For me I am on such a special diet it would be too hard to know if I could eat homemade cookies. My husband has come up with a cookie I can eat, but we don't make them often. So, I would have to pass on homemade foods.

I usually find my box right away because, I have to have a place to keep everything together. I do that with every swap. Usually I am in more than one at a time so things could be really confusing if I didn't establish my box early.

I think tissue paper and jewelry boxes are a great idea, thanks for the suggestion. Those tiny drawstring bags are great for holding small things, too. I used one to hold a couple teeny items for my Make a Wish (List) swap box. Granted, it has to be a non-see-through bag or you'll still have to use tissue paper or similar to disguise the object. Another fabulous thing about that option is it's super easy.
I'm almost done shopping for my partner but I keep seeing stuff or getting replies from arena sellers that I had sent inquiries to. I want to say "No thanks, I've already exceeded the budget," but then I think, "Well, I'm the one who contacted them in the first place, and besides, it's such a great deal." LOL. The worst part of all is, I LOVE giving gifts. So it's hard to say, "Okay, I'm finished." I keep seeing things and going, "Ooooh, that would be great! What's another few pounds?" My husband, on the other hand, would disagree. :lookround:

I love the idea of it, but my hair is so fine that clips and barrettes generally tend to slide right out. Small barrettes usually work, though.

I love to wear earrings, but am allergic to "cheap metal," as my dermatologist phrased it, lol. I still wear them, but I either have to take them out after a few hours or I have to dip the posts in some sort of antibacterial cream first. Generally-speaking, I have to wear the real deal, or at least sterling silver.

I have exceptionally long, thick hair LOVE lots of barrettes and clips! Bear in mind hair is thick, so barrettes must hold alot of hair to be useful!

I'm selling them for 2 reasons - I decided to keep only my fave G4s a few weeks ago and I wanted to make more room for my MIB G3s.
Normally I was going to keep the BBs as well- but after we decided to buy a new notebook- they will be part of it to raise the money sooner.
I'm not to sad- I keep my fave ones and I can start collecting them again later.:)

I have a pixie hair cut so clips and hair things are out for me. They just will not stay in my short hair.

I actually let my ear piercings grow up. I had a bunch of them (10), and I got tired of taking care of them. My ears for some reason would never properly heal, so I lack piercing holes currently.
Everyone is so creative about finding ways to wrap these small items. I admit I cheated! Instead of using cute pouches or things like that I wrapped them in tissue paper and put them in zip lock baggies. Now I just have to find some nice actual wrapping paper for this stuff. ^.^

Well I went over a little bit on this box. Just a little. I feel I have a good excuse though. Whenever I am sad I love to shop and I just got lucky with this swap. I have been super stressed out and focusing on my swap boxes has saved me on some days. Now I am completely done though. All my stuff has come in except for one thing. I have wrapped it...now I am tapping my fingers until next month to stick it in the mail and bring a ray of sunshine and joy to my partner. We got some good news about dad today. They think they can do some surgery to help him and they have caught his cancer early. For the first time in a week I feel a reason to smile as my hope has been restored. I still feel like shopping though. Man I wish I had like 500.00 to blow I would be at the mall in 5 seconds. LOL

Oh okay, I thought you had randomly decided you no longer like BB ponies, but it's not so much about wanting them as it is about needing a new notebook. ;) We completely understand that! My laptop is reaching the end of its life span but hopefully it will last another month or two until we can afford another one. I am also selling ponies to help pay for such things.

Haha, same here! I went to one of my favourite shops this morning purposely to look for extras for my partner, and I found something that I'm pretty sure they will like. Personally, I like surprises. On one of my very first trades, my partner included a breezie as an extra and I fell for them and now I have more than a few :)
Same happened when I was looking for sister ponies for my partner *Sternenstaub*, at first I didn't know what they were and now they are some of my favorites :)

This made me laugh. I do wear "danglies" frequently, but never anything too flashy, hoopy, or large. I am the small and simple kind of person that you are not. :P But my friends are rarely ever anything like me, so I'm sure we'd get along great. ;)
Also, thanks everyone for your encouragement. I'm more worried that I will be giving my partner something that they already have, but since we are all pony collectors here, my partner would probably welcome them anyway. No pony left behind, right? ^.^

Good question, Stern... I've been wondering the same thing. For example, I found an extra for my partner that is a tiny version of something, but still rather large in comparison to everything else.
Stern, you can always add it to the box and then just say to your partner, "I found this for you, but shhh... don't post it in the brag." :P

Well, some of my extras are tiny and some are not at all....I followed that idea somewhat but not completely. Like I have a bigger item that turns into something tiny...hard to explain. Then I found something that is bigger but couldn't pass it up...actually a couple of things. So its a mix in my box too.

This is my worst fear when I am in more than one swap....
Each box goes to the wrong swap partner....
They open their boxes and say, "what the heck is this, its not on my wanted list." Seriously this gives me nightmares.
At least with the two I am in one is tiny and one is huge and there is no way to mix up the Advent with the tiny.... :P

I was once in a swap and ate all my partner's candy and had to rebuy it ROFLOL...I love candy so much....yet I must stop eating it.
I sure hope my goodie makes it...to the place it is supposed to go without turning into one big goodie mess. :shocked:

I totally know the Candy problem... I ate swap cadies before - that's the reason why I always buy Candy 1-2 days before I ship. I will buy the last candies tomorrow - then I take teasers and close the boxes. :)

I'm a check list girl, and I think organizing for all my different class periods has trained me well in multitasking with different objects. I always have different assignments sectioned off for each class. :P

Teach me! LOL. I am great at organizing and multi-tasking, but I lack the daily motivation. It comes in spurts for me. I have such a hard time maintaining momentum and keeping up with the most mundane of tasks.

Wow I do the same thing too. The name and address and the items checklist. When I get stuff in the mail I ordered I check it off and once everything is in the box, its wrapped and closed up. I also copy and paste my partners wish list into my computer so I can refer to it without going online and I always put the addy on their wishlist on my computer so i can reprint it should I lose the first one due to a dog that likes paper. But all of this still makes me freak so I check and recheck the names and addy's to make sure the right box goes to the right person. Even all the organizational things I do to help myself, I never feel completely safe. LOL

Wow I do the same thing too. The name and address and the items checklist. When I get stuff in the mail I ordered I check it off and once everything is in the box, its wrapped and closed up. I also copy and paste my partners wish list into my computer so I can refer to it without going online and I always put the addy on their wishlist on my computer so i can reprint it should I lose the first one due to a dog that likes paper. But all of this still makes me freak so I check and recheck the names and addy's to make sure the right box goes to the right person. Even all the organizational things I do to help myself, I never feel completely safe. LOL
I definitely relate to this. While I have been very organized with the swaps, I am still afraid of leaving something behind, putting something in the box that shouldn't be there, or sending it to the wrong place. I think it's a normal fear, but it's easy to feel isolated. It's always a good feeling to know you're not alone in something.

I've nearly finished wrapping everything! There was a couple of little things that have not arrived yet but if they do not arrive in time it is not the end of the world, it just would have been good!

That happens to me sometimes too Moonflower. I usually end up buying myself things that I find for my partner...if I love it too. Especially a pony I would never have thought I would like until it arrived and then I am say, "oh I have to get myself one of these." I would say swaps have fed my collection quite a bit lol.

Seriously, moonflower, there were ponies you wanted that I didn't have or even know about, then when I found them for you I was like, I totally want this! I almost pilfered your Hamilton Collection Glory and the TAF Milky Way w/ White Stars. I was even tempted to keep popcorn cart Cheerilee and Summer Bloom! I know the feeling girls... I had it a lot of times that I shopped for someone and there have been ponies on the lists I'd never wanted for myself... but sometimes a pony arrived and I felt in love when I hold it in my own hands the first time...

I'm afraid there's going to be a slight delay on my end. >_< I had the weirdest thing happen. Very early last week I got a pony off my partner's list and it arrived within a few days, BUT... it was the wrong pony! The seller had a number of items ending on the same day and wound up doing a switcheroo with the address labels. She was super professional and took care of it immediately, sending us both 1st class postage labels to resend the ponies. I got mine on Monday and reposted on Tuesday, but the seller messaged me this morning to say that the person who got mine isn't going to repost until Friday! What do I do?

Got 2 hours of sleep this afternoon before I took Britke to the vet for her OP.
She's back and she's okay - it was a capital Operation - harder then expected. Normally the vet was going to remove the stittches after 1 week but he already told me this evening that we must wait 14 or 15 days until he can do that.
I can call him tomorrow during the day to tell him how Britjes is going on. And his practice is opened at saturday morning as well - when there is anything unclear or when she needs anything.
Our other both cats don't like Britjes smell at the moment and when ever they see her or go next to her they're hissing...most Shiva - she can be a tiny sneaky snake..
So I'm the nightwatcher for this night.
I watch all 3 kitties that nothing will happen and that Britje don't try to jump upstairs or anything else..
It's still a long night... all kitties are sleeping at the moment and I'll start to make a custom for a friend and I will wrap up a few pressies for swaps in my forum. So the time will run fast - I hope so!

Aww, Stern... I'm sure your partner will love your box even MORE than you do, especially if hathorcat's box is anything to go by. ;) You really seem to take your time "getting to know" your partner, so I have no doubt that your tiny pony box will be a success.
Thanks for the update on Britje. Interesting how your other two kitties are behaving, though. I wonder what is bothering Shiva so much. Doesn't it make you wish you could speak cat language? Sometimes I meow to my own kitty (am I the only one who does this?) and there are times where she seems to understand me. And then I wonder what it was I said, lol. :lol:

Stern I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. I am glad she came through her surgery okay and I am sure your tlc will really help her. Its hard to have a sick kitty or an injured one. My Louis is a constant vet magnet so I know what you are going through there. Hugs
I was wondering if it would be okay for me to ship my box tomorrow? Here is the deal. I had this pain in my side..pretty bad actually. My doctor thought I had gall stones. So, I went in for an ultra sound and you won't believe this but...I am having a liver problem. I have to go in on Monday to see a specialist for some tests. I would never have ever guessed that the pain I had was my liver. I mean who has ever heard of a liver hurting? Not me anyway. My dad thinks this is something worth some humor so he is majorly harassing me at the moment. At least he still has his sense of humor with things. I can't ship on Monday...I would like to ship on Friday. I hope this is okay...it really can't be helped. I don't like to ship late. Unbelievable really huh? Unbelieveable. Oh but the good news is I don't have gall stones YAYAY and I don't believe I have what dad has at all either..... ;)

Okay guys I am here to join the tea party a little late. I was busy cutting up veggies for the veggie tray. We need to eat healthy. So I am bringing a fat free veggie tray with a soy and onion dip. Also I made a fruit salad......oh and I also brought an arrangement of Japanese Teas and tiny Japanese tea cups for us. Enjoy!! Healthy food makes healthy livers LOL....my whole family is on a clean the liver kick...ignore me.
Now if I could just figure out how to cut my apple into a pony... ^.^

Are you seriously serious? Bless your heart. What country are you shipping from? Would it have been upgraded to a really high price? I didn't know there was a weight limit. Here there is but the limit means the difference between international first class and international priority mail.

Just a thought, if you have a web cam you can use it to take a screen shot...I know it won't be as good..but at least you can post a photo with a shot from the webcam.
