New Crystal Empire RD and TS?

The necklace on RD looks so out of place. I know it's for the button, but they didn't even paint it a different colour to her body. Unless its an unfinished piece. Also Twilight's cutie mark looks like a cookie cutter cookie. I agree about them looking shoddy; but maybe the final releases will look a lot better... I'm really considering giving up collection G4 already if this keeps up...

TS is definitely still deep into the prototype phase here. You can especially tell from the way the head is attached to the neck. They get released with head/body attachments looking like RD's here. Plus her cutie mark is unpainted. I have a hard time believing Hasbro would resort to vague 3D cutie marks to save a buck. I suppose they might, though. The missing cutie mark on RD shows that she is yet unfinished as well. Wonder why she doesn't have a 3D cutie mark like the others. Ho-hum.

Are we even sure these are part of Crystal Empire? Crystal Empire is set to appear in stores any time now and these look really early in the production process.

I'm guessing these are prototypes, I know hasbro has their less proud moments, but I don't think they would release a RD without a symbol. I'm all for having flapping wings though. xD

If there is a Rarity than there is no doubt i will pick her up.

These look early prototype stage ponies - I sincerely hope the finished product looks a whole lot better.

I only thought they were possible Crystal Empire candidates because of their jewel/polygon shaped eyes.

I really think either the factory workers or sellers are just messing with the fans now with some of the weirdness.

Edit: ...I just realized Twilight's head mold looks a LOT like blind bag Rarity. Something about the way it's shaped.

TS is a REALLY early prototype... look at how long her neck is, which is why they cut off the bottom of her head. RD's head at least looks placed properly. RD's doesn't have a cutiemark but again, prototype.

I agree that this looks like the new equivalent of the Shine Bright. It should be noted that Shine Brights without their "shiny bright bits" [] are often on Taobao...so it doesnt surprise me to see these obviously missing "something" as well. Yes, they are clearly unfinished but so are the Shine Brights which are listed and they have been and gone so I dont think the fact the ones we are seeing look unfinished are an indication of where in the production process these are unfortunately.

I have decided to reserve complete judgement until I see the finished product
