I'd rather have Flutter Bat than another Pinkie Pie, seriously that was a good Fluttershy moment to where I tolerated  her  in that EP

And can we please nip Flutterbat in the bud? I don't understand why so many people adore her. I found that entire episode just ugh. Maybe if they had a go at Twilight (the books, I should clarify) at the same time, made her extra pale yellow and covered her entirely in glitter...!

If Hasbro were to put out a Flutterbat exclusive, they maybe just end up painting on the bat wings onto the regular FS wings (assuming it'll be an FS)

Ugh yeah, like Chrysalis. And a sloppily molded mane. And conveniently "forgetting" to change the eyes and symbols.

But that's the absolute worst case scenario. Usually the SDCC exclusives are fairly high quality, so I doubt that would happen.

Some people over on FB are confused why people are complaining I said it was due to the fact it was Pinkie Pie.

Personally I would have only wanted the costume because it's the only thing worth it to me.. I don't understand how the packaging makes the exclusive special other than the sticker of what event the pony is from.. because packaging is generally just some plastic and paper Not like DJ's box from what I understand.

I'm now curious based on what one person said.. would they have gotten the exclusive if it was a paper pony and all that was spacial was the packaging?

I'm torn. I like the costume and packaging a lot, but I don't need another pinkie pie pony.

So, they charged fifty bucks for Pinkie Pie with a new costume?! 

At the very least, for that price they should have included an extra pony.

One can simply make their own pony chicken costume, or they can commission from pony clothing makers :L sure it'll take some time, but you won't be stuck with another Pinkie Pie pony

Is the Chicken Pinkie Pie in her bucket pretty big/heavy!? I wonder just how tall the bucket is LOL!

Princess Lala, Pinkie is just a normal FS size pony if that helps..

Well...it's cute but it's not SDCC exclusive calibre, and certainly not worth $50. I'd have preferred a set of Nightmare Night outfits and/or a unique pony (FS Zecora from that episode! Or Pip?)

I talked with the two Hasbro reps at the Fair yesterday and mentioned that some of us would like to see more villains get attention, more diversity in the regular toy releases, and how people were disappointed in this year's exclusive.  I also added that the packaging was nice and above and beyond what they've done before, but a lot of people just didn't feel it was worth the money.  I tried to be as nice as possible when giving my suggestions and criticisms, because I figured they'd actually hear me out if I wasn't ranting and complaining in their faces... like some people did, yikes!

I'm also on the list of people who aren't super fond of Flutterbat. The design is fine...but the episode kind of ruins it for me. I just hope that the reps don't interpret "more villain focus" as "more Discord". Since he gets a fair amount of attention as it is in comparison to the other villains, but I suppose there are some creative things they could do with him. If they want to keep doing more comic tie-ins...I know I would love something involving Nightmare Rarity. A brushable of her could be very nice. But I won't hold my breath for that.
