Monster High thread number 786!!

Darn, I was hoping for 2.0 Lagoona or 2.0 Clawdeen in the next case assortment. Though I will be happy to pick up Jackson, and ecstatic for Rochelle, I'm really struggling to catch up on the older dolls. Eventually...

I am so glad I started collecting this line back when there were only 9 dolls to worry about. I fell a bit behind a few months ago, and that was hard enough to get caught up on- I can't imagine what it's like getting into it now and wanting the majority of the line. I'd suggest checking places you wouldn't normally think to look, like Burlington Coat Factory, Family Dollar or Big Lots. I've heard of people finding the dolls at all those places, so you never know. And as wardah mentioned, sometimes you'll find the odd older doll in Target or TRU.

Good advice! I might try that this weekend. On a recent hunting trip I surveyed a bunch of drug stores and Big Lots but alas, no luck. Next attempt, grocery stores.

I definitely wish I'd started collecting when there were only 9 dolls, it's so much easier to find the new releases than the old this year. Now before Christmas, it wasn't nearly this bad. It's really kind of preposterous how difficult it's been to find ANY dolls since in person, and it's not easy online. Oh, the money I would have spent if I could have magically foreseen what a difference two months would make...

But one thing I like about Monster High is that owning the entire line seems like a possibility. If I were collecting Barbies or Littlest Pet Shop or Pullips, that would be a complete impossibility. Too many releases over many years, or too expensive. But my Monsters are relatively new! Until this darn year started (as I mentioned above) one could regularly find all the way up to the first releases still on store shelves.

Hmm, maybe this is actually a negative, as it's quite bad for my wallet but my completionist collecting nature drives me to go for it anyway.

I counted 70 dolls on my release list, not including upcoming and future releases. So somewhere in that area!

Hm, wow it doesn't seem that many but I suppose it may be. I've only gotten the ones I really liked (except for SS Ghoulia x2) but that's because I wanted another doll to repaint.

I'll have 22 when Clawd arrives on Monday and when Kala finishes rehairing my sea monster yet to be named. But after all these new releases, I can see that number almost doubling by the end of the year. Some must haves on my list...

- Howleen...maybe
- I'm interested to know more about these Create A Monster boys...
- Arachne/Threaderella. PLEASE LET HER BE RELEASED! Oh god please! I would be one of those nuts who spends $100 to get the first one on eBay, but then I thought, if I wait a little after her initial release, I can get four of her for that price! Yay! Yay! Yay!
