Hello, I haven't been around in a long while because I completed my collection. Well, since completing I ended up having to move to a much smaller place and only have room to display a fraction of the ponies I have and it just is starting to feel kind of like a burden.

There are around 500 ponies, roughly, of varying quality from middling to near mint. I don't have the emotional spoons to sell them individually or make a list, or even if I'm going to do this, but:

What would be the most efficient way to spread them back into the community that wouldn't wreck my time, patience, and wallet?

Advice please. It's really stressful not having room because of these three bins, even if they brought me a lot of joy. But I just don't have space and I'm going to be here for years more.

The one that comes with this barbie - I don't want the Barbie (she's nice but no room) but I really want the yellow and orange blouse and skirt extra outfit for my other tall Barbie.

Does anyone have it, willing to sell it to me? I live in Canada.

I was trying to find some of the new Curvy barbies because they looked great but they were all sold out where I was buying - that's when I saw these great made to moves. I got the Latina and the Asian one. And THEN I noticed two adorable Chelseas. An Asian one that'll make a great little sister for the made to move, and a black one with pink hair that's definitely a superhero.

But I noticed something weird! All the Chelsea dolls have molded tops instead of shirts.

Does anyone know why they're doing that? I tried googling it and all I found were disappointed collectors wondering the same thing.

Can anyone tell me what they are and what they're worth? I have no reason to keep them so looking for the best way to send them on their way.

Pony Corral / Seeking advice on packing ponies!
« on: January 21, 2015, 12:24:32 PM »
I'm moving! I've lived at this house forever and in this time picked up a boatload of ponies including ones with fullbody paintjobs, so I'm seeking the public's assistance in making sure my ponies stay safe!

My packing boxes are plastic crates, but I also have several smaller boxes ('really useful boxes' brand) that I can use.

- what is the best way to ensure the safety of my ponies to make sure they don't get bent or squished out of shape
- what is the best way to keep custom ponies safe, especially those with clay attachments or paintjobs! And one of these ponies has a sticky paintjob, so extra advice for that one please!

I really appreciate any help I can get. I've never packed to move before, I've lived here for so long.

(bonus questions: safe ways to transport barbie cars, a playmobil dollhouse, barbies, and lego you don't want to do a lot of reassembling on)

Everything I pack CAN be transported in my car in separate journeys, as I am only moving about  ten minutes away.

On this day (well, this day as of 24 minutes ago) nine years ago I registered at the Arena!

I have spent so much on ponies since then.

So much.

Off Topic / Ghost stories! Who's got them?
« on: August 15, 2014, 07:33:34 PM »
I've been reading some ghost comics, Fuan No Tane and Natsume's Book of Friends and have learned that summer is a big season for hauntings, so I thought now was a good enough time to ask this because we're sort of close to October, but also summer!

Now, I don't believe in ghosts but I love a good story and I've got one of my own!

Quote
When I was quite small (2-4), I lived in Edmonton, in a house in a not particularly great neighbourhood. I liked it there though. My little sister, who was twenty months younger than me, was also old enough to remember things.

Well, every once in a while I'd see a boy about my size made totall of light, but I could make out details like his haircut and face. And he'd always be running on ahead of me, around corners. I'd follow but he'd always be gone by the time I got to the corner.

Around this time I was introduced to the concept of little spots that stayed in you eyes if you looked at lights. So I decided that's what he was, the result of me looking at the lights.

Shortly after, dad got out of residency and got a job as a radiologist over in Manitoba so off we went to a nicer (in price only) neighbourhood and a bigger house and no little boy.

And a year or two after we got there, my little sister turns to me one day and says: "Do you remember seeing a little boy back at our old house? He was all bright"

And I said to her: "Oh, that's what happens when you look at lights."

The end.

What's your stories?

Off Topic / Where do you get your lego parts?
« on: August 10, 2014, 03:04:06 PM »
I've been building a lot of minifigs for my lego city, and I keep running low on things like torsos, legs, heads, whatever it is I'm trying to make that day and wondering if anyone has any specific sellers or online stores they like to go to for parts?

The pick a brick selection is too small and takes too long, and I've been dabbling around on ebay. Toywiz had parts but the site had such amazingly horrible reviews I ran away from it.

I found these little guys at the Disney store yesterday. Stackable plush! They're so adorable.

Nevermind, he spoke english!

It might not be necessary, but I've gotten a buyer when I said 'no Italy' to an auction who is Italian and ebay didn't take my settings properly.

See, I cannot legally send him the package due to these prohibitions to packages to Italy:

http://pe.usps.gov/text/imm/il_008.htm

Haberdashery and sewn articles of any kind, including trimmings and lace; handkerchiefs; scarves; shawls, needlework including stockings and gloves; bonnets, caps, and hats of any kind.

Toys not made wholly of wood.

I've sent him an email telling him he has to either give me a new address or I'll cancel, but I have no way of knowing if he actually speaks English and would appreciate it if I could have some help here just in case.

I found Sleepy Pie and Cutesaurus at Value Village for 2.99. Paid for them with the change in my pocket. It was an impulse visit and I am so happy you have no idea.

Okay, you know how we have those content laws where 30% of the content has to be Canadian?

Do your music stations make that 30%... all Nickelback?

Or am I in a personal hell.

I want at least one of these puppies, to be specific. (Picture stolen from ebay)

I'm also interested in the little kittens, if anyone happens to have any for a good price. Especially a sitting kitten in a pose similar to the puppies I circled.

Also willing to trade if there's something on my sale list you like the look of.

Okay, story behind why I'm so excited about these - right before I went to the thrift store, I was looking at that dog set on etsy and bemoaning the fact I couldn't afford it. And what was there at the thrift? THAT SET. Including other really cute ones I didn't own! I have never, ever, seen g1 LPS there before too.

Okay, onto the IDing

I know the fairy winkles, but the horses seem to be part of some sort of set. Their glittery things are stickers that are falling off.

There's something familiar about the dogs and cats, but I can't place it. Can anyone tell me who they are? Most of them have MEG on them, some have nothing at all on them.

Everyone's been id'd! The animals are from the In My Pocket series, and the cat is a Barbie animal. Thanks for your help, everyone!

For some reason my feedback double-posted. Sorry, mods. Requesting one be deleted. They're identical.
