Your own pony renames

Have you ever called a pony by a name different than her official one? I did

I don't like the name Sweet Suds because 'suds' reminds me of 'sudor' (sweat in Spanish) and 'Sweet Sweats' doesn't sound too fashionable or clean for a Perfume Puff  So I name her Bubble Bath, or Lady Bubble Bath if I'm feeling fancy

One of my college roommates got me in the habit of calling ponies that I can't quickly or easily recall the names of "Symbol + Butt" as their name

I never knew the ponies names when I was a kid, so I made up names based on their symbols. Shady was Sunglasses, Baby Ribbon was Bowtie, etc.

Not sure if this counts, but G3 "Wind Drifter" will forever be "Cloud Drifter" to me, because it was a simple mistake when I first got her that caused me to think her name was Cloud Drifter for a good half a year, and in that time I had become certain she must be a huge hippie with a name like cloud drifter.
i refuse to accept that that isn't her name now

Some people on the forum helped re-name my baby brother ponies. We named Baby Brother Apple Delight 'Appleby', Baby Brother Bright Boquet 'Brightly' and Baby Brother Sweet Celebrations 'Presley' (as in present). Lucky stayed as Lucky 

We also started on the blank flank Baby Embers - Blue Baby Ember is 'Indigo' and I decided to call the purple one with the pink hair 'Lavender' since the pony community often says lavender for light purple. The pink one with purple hair though I'm not sure. Any suggestions? She's a poor girl really, doesn't get as much love as the others! So I need an awesome name for her

Sweet Suds sounds like fruity beer. Mmmm. I should custom a beer pony.

I've mentioned this, but my husband calls Princess Sparkle "Professor Bling Bling." I'm... not sure why. My Quackers, which my dad found at a garage sale, has "April Showers" written on her.

My childhood ponies were given to me by an older cousin so I never new their names. I can't remember what I named most of them but do remember that Gypsy was Max, and a boy

I got Piccolo at the Disney Make-a-Pony thing in Down Town Disney that they used to have.  I had no idea what her name was, so I decided to call her "Merry Beats" due to the whole music theme.  I kind of alternate between that and Piccolo now. 

G3 Pink Sun Sparkle will also always be Princess Sun Sparkle to me because I didn't really read the first part of her name and figured that she would surely be a Princess if she lived in a castle!  So, considering I only found out her name last year, and that I had been calling her Princes  Sun Sparkle since I was a little kid, I cannot think of her as anything else!

My sister and I called Daddy Bright Bouquet "Blueheart".  He was the polygamous daddy of the herd because we had no other boys!
