The Dollhouse / Rainbow Brite Help
« on: February 12, 2021, 11:07:23 AM »
Hey! It's been a while! My husband found a lot of Rainbow Brite dolls and playsets at a thrift store and wanted some more info and pricing on them. They're surprisingly in fairly good condition!

I checked Ghost of the Doll and was able to get a decent amount of info on the dolls and which playsets/pieces of playsets he found. The only things I'm not sure about are the cards in the first picture underneath the dolls, the small, long rainbow pillow in the first and second picture, and the purple chair in the third picture (not sure if this is a RB item or not). I can take more pictures if needed.

Thank you so much for all your help! :)

Off Topic / I got married at Disney World! [Pic Heavy]
« on: November 03, 2014, 08:20:54 PM »
Now that I finally have time to sit down and relax, I just wanted to share my dream wedding with all you lovely folks!

It has been a dream of mine for a long time to get married at Disney World and it came true on October 17th, 2014! I have been a long-time Disney fan and when my mother offered me the chance to have my dream wedding a year ago, I just couldn't say no. I of course took the time to think about it because my family is very important to me (and some of you may remember my thread asking for opinions), but they have been nothing but supportive of me since I announced I was getting married at Disney World. Most of our family actually got to watch it via livestream that was offered for free by our videographer as they were testing out the kinks so in the end it worked out like a dream.

I had such a wonderful time planning this wedding (and it was pretty much stress-free!) and while there was one hiccup on Disney's part (The violinist played the wrong Alice in Wonderland theme. They played Tim Burton's [ICK ICK ICK] rather than the animated movie's theme.), it still ended up being magical! The hiccup got fixed by having our videographer record the violinist playing the correct song and edited it into the video and it is now perfect! I am so thankful for my parents who helped make this dream come true. It was because of them that my husband and I had an amazing wedding that not only we enjoyed, but everyone else did too. It went by so fast. Getting ready was really slow, but once I walked down that aisle, the whole thing felt like 5 seconds. Next thing I knew I was saying my vows and my husband was breaking the glass and now I'm back at home as a wife! Time has really flown by and I hope it slows down!

I don't have many pictures yet as no one really took any with their phones and our photographers have only given us a few sneak peeks, but I can't wait to see the rest! We enjoyed working with them and the places we took pictures at were just beautiful! We got so many congratulations while walking around and the water taxis on the lake honked at us and used their speakers to tell us congratulations. It was absolutely magical! The whole trip we received lots of congratulations and pixie dust and there's just no other word to describe it other than magical.

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / PC/Info on these MIB LPS Toys
« on: September 01, 2014, 08:06:50 PM »
I was at the flea market yesterday and these LPS toys caught my eye. I only wanted Viv, but the guy wouldn't break them up so I picked up all three for $11. I never collected LPS as a child, but they were too cute to resist. I was wondering if anyone could give me some more info on them and the other toys from the cartoon as well as a PC. Thanks!

Pony Corral / Go Games and Calendars - Ponies 50% off!
« on: January 17, 2014, 10:07:20 PM »
So I was at the mall today and stopped by the Go Games and Calendars store since they were clearancing their calendars and toys. They had ponies, dolls, plushes and other knick knacks. I ended up getting the Rarity and Twilight set that comes with spike and the car for $15! They also had single ponies, I think the blind bag 3 packs and G3 and G4 plushes. They might have had a few other things, but I couldn't remember what else they had. I would check 'em out if you have a Go Games and Calendars that carries toys! They are only a seasonal store so they might be leaving soon!

The Dollhouse / Jem Accessory ID Please!
« on: November 16, 2013, 01:26:05 PM »
I found a bag of Jem accessories at Savers tonight. I was looking for G1 ponies and happened across some of these! I at first noticed the keytar and then saw the Jem combs. I just had to bring these lovelies home with me! I figured out some of the accessories thanks to rockjem.com, but some I am not so sure about and wanted to see if anyone could help me out!

This is what I've figured out so far:

1: Jetta's leg stand
2: Pizzaz leg stand?
3: 1st Edition Jem/Jerrica leg stand?
4: Roxy leg stand?
5: Stormer leg stand?
6: 2nd Edition Kimber keytar
7: Rock n' Curl Jem microphone?
8: Misfit spike bracelet
9: [Not sure if this is a Jem accessory]
10: [Not sure if this is a Jem accessory]
11: Jetta Saxaphone
12: Clash's Distortion Modulator
13: Clash's headset
14:
15:
16:
17:
18: 1st Edition Jem shoes?
19: Jetta's shoes
20: Fizzle n' Sizzle Jem left shoe?
21:
22: 2nd Edition Kimber left shoe?
23: 1st Edition Jerrica left shoe?
24: Pizzaz left shoe?

The combs are hard to identify since some have very similar or the exact same combs. If anyone needs better pictures of anything such as the shoes, please let me know. I will definitely post a better picture. I'm hoping to go back tomorrow to see if they had more Jem stuff that they hadn't put out yet.

« on: September 10, 2013, 08:33:41 PM »
I just took all my ponies over to the apartment my fiance and I got the keys to earlier this evening and I'm missing them so much! I won't be fully moved into the apartment 'til this weekend so they will be in their boxes over the next few days or so. I could use some cheering up by seeing some Twinkle Eyes! They are my favorite G1's!

Pony Corral / Pony Storage Advice
« on: July 15, 2013, 07:05:38 PM »
My fiance and I are moving into an apartment in about two months and I am not sure how I should store my ponies while transporting them to the apartment. Luckily I won't have to worry about my ponies getting lost or damaged because my parents have a van and an SUV and my fiance has a trailer for his sport bike so we won't be using a moving truck. Anyways, I want to ensure that they are safe. Should I just store them in a big plastic storage bin and put a lid on it? And would putting them in said storage bin for the next two months damage them in any way? I know I have two months, but I want to try and get as much done as I can. I'm hoping I won't have to keep them stored when we move in though. Thanks!

Off Topic / I got engaged at the MLP Fair! <3
« on: July 07, 2013, 09:15:32 PM »
I shared the announcement in one of the MLP Fair threads and I wanted to share this special moment with the rest of the Arena! I'll start off with a little history of my fiance and I!

This is my fiance, Corey:

My fiance, Corey, and I met in April of 2009 at a sushi place that opened up near the college I was going to. There was a meetup for people who were in that area who also attend a con called Anime Central. Because of that meetup, we started talking more a few months later. We would stay up all night chatting on AIM. He would come out to a mutual friend's place and we would hang out and he would drive me home on his sport bike. My parents didn't like that. lol He asked me out at a small party, but not properly. He was like, "Hey. Wanna go out?" I told him I wouldn't date him 'til he asked me properly. lol He would meet up with me at the college I was attending, as I stayed home for college that year, and we would have picnics by the lake. On August 31st 2009, he finally asked me out properly and we have been together through thick and thin ever since. We've hit some major bumpy roads, but we have stuck together and are very much so in love. My parents wouldn't talk to him for the first few months and my dad wouldn't even look at him. lol I think it was the age gap plus the motorcycle. He had just turned 25 and I was 19.

I'm a nagger unfortunately and I get jealous kind of easily. I've had friends/acquaintances who have dated their fiances/husbands/wives for a shorter amount of time than Corey and I so it was frustrating because I felt I was so far behind, which I really wasn't. They were ready sooner than Corey and I. It didn't help that most of my cousins are married and have kids so I felt pressure, even though I wasn't really being pressured. Every so often I would have family ask me if Corey and I were ever getting married because we have been together for so long. I honestly think he and I are the record holder for being together the longest before getting engaged. Corey told me he was mostly holding off because I kept nagging, but for the last month or so I didn't nag so much so it helped.

Fast forward to the MLP Fair. Friday, Corey and I went to the apartment we are hoping to get to fill out an application before we left for the Fair. He wanted us to move in together and he already had my parents' blessings to move in together. Even though my mother wasn't fond of the idea as it is against her religion, she would much rather not ruin our relationship over it. Hopefully tomorrow we will find out if we get the apartment or not. If we do, we move in starting September 10th! Now I knew an engagement was happening soon because he said he wanted us to be engaged before moving in together, but I was trying not to get my hopes up. Whenever we would be on a date, like the museum, zoo, convention, I would hope for proposal, but it never happened so I tried hard to not get my hopes up.

Come Saturday evening, Corey and I went up to our hotel room to get ready for dinner. I insisted we didn't go to Benihana because I didn't want him to spend so much money on a dinner. He left the room as I get changed to call his parents because they "called earlier" and wanted to call them back. Little did I know he was calling them to ask one more time for their approval. He came back in and I asked him about what they needed. He said they were having computer troubles, which wasn't a surprise to me as they always call him for help.

I was pushing for him to go to dinner because I was hungry and I can get a little cranky when I'm really hungry. He crouched down and went into his suitcase and said he needed to get something. He turned around and started quoting the Green Lantern oath and modified the oath a little to ask me to marry him. I was too shocked to even remember all that he said. I of course said yes. I hugged him and started crying a little. I was just way too happy. I was waiting for this moment for a long time. The fact that he made the proposal nerdy (I told him 2 years ago I wanted him to use the Green Lantern oath to propose to me) and he did it at a convention, which is something important to us, made it even more special. I am so glad he didn't propose in public because I would have been so nervous with eyes on me.

Here's the beautiful ring he got me! It's what I wanted! A non-traditional ring with a blue jewel!

Pony Corral / Pony ID Please!
« on: June 23, 2013, 07:55:30 PM »
I was looking through old pictures with my boyfriend today and found some from when I was 1 and 2 years old. They were pictures of me playing with ponies with my older cousins. I recognized most of them, but I couldn't figure out one. I tried looking on Strawberry Reef and Kimsites/Dream Valley, but I couldn't find this particular pony. Maybe I just missed her, but I figured asking here wouldn't hurt. I apologize for the bad quality picture. I took a picture of the picture. The mystery pony is the purple one with the symbol above one of her front legs.

I see Mommy Apple Delight, possibly Sundance, mystery pony, Tootsie, Daddy Apple Delight, Moondancer, Party Time and possibly Firefly. One of my cousins is holding at least one other pony, but the only one you could see is BBE Frosting, but she isn't in the picture. Thanks!

Pony Corral / So Soft Question
« on: May 21, 2013, 11:47:44 AM »
Last month I was at a comic convention and this booth had a good amount of G1 ponies, with a few G2s. Sadly they were overpriced for their condition. :( Anyways, they had a little shoe box with ponies that had defects like, a Gusty with a chewed horn, another pony with an obvious hair cut and some with pen/marker markings. I saw an SS Ribbon that was in decent condition, but had marker around her eyes and a little marker on one of her right symbol. I bought her for a few bucks thinking I could just deflock her, but what I'm worried about is that the marker seeped through. She's a gorgeous pony. Has anyone else had to deal with this or have any advice? Here are a couple of pictures.

The Dollhouse / WTS Part of Collection!
« on: April 19, 2013, 09:08:15 PM »
I'm downsizing my collection a bit and need to sell some dolls. All my dolls have been displayed only and come with what is in the picture. I'm willing to split up the dolls and clothes. I am also willing to ship internationally, but be aware that the shipping fees may be more than what the doll costs. Prices are negotiable! :) Prices include shipping within the US, but will most likely be more if you are international.

Off Topic / Healthy Eating Advice
« on: April 18, 2013, 10:40:15 AM »
All right. I need some healthy eating advice! I'm trying to lose belly fat and with a combination of healthy eating and exercise, I could get that flat tummy again. I'm pretty comfortable with my weight (136 pounds; 5'5"), but I wouldn't mind losing about 10 pounds. Anyways, I'm looking at possible vegetarian dishes to help. I am by no means a vegetarian, but meat can get pretty expensive so cooking a bunch of meat dishes is not really possible for me. I love love LOVE carbs, but I'm trying to cut out a lot of it. Especially the pasta dishes. Carbs aren't helping me lose that belly fat. I've cut down on the snacking a lot and that has helped me lose a few pounds already and I've completely cut out soda. I've been drinking more juices, water and lemonade. I can be a picky eater, but I'm willing to take a look at all kinds of suggestions. I really want to lose the belly fat and if I can shave some of it off just by eating healthier, it will help me start exercising more. I really appreciate any help. Even if it's just support. Thanks!
