I mostly use public transport - tube (underground) and bus. I live in London, so having a car would not only be unnecessary, but parking spaces are pretty rare here, so there wouldn't be much point in driving. Public transport is pretty nice here.

I also enjoy walking. From my new flat, I can walk to most stores and the library, which is really nice.
my thoughts exactly. Budapest is also just like that: our public transportation is very good, going to work by car would not only be more expensive but would also take longer for both hubby and I. and I'd be in serious trouble finding a parking place where I work (the company garage is small and can be used only by higher rank managers).

because of this we don't even have a car. sometimes it would be convenient (for longer distance trips like visiting relatives), but it wouldn't be worth it since we would then have to rent a parking place somewhere near, as I wouldn't dare leave it out on the street (we live in the inner city in a flat, so no garden or own garage for us). if we ever decide to have children I'm sure we'll buy one (his parents live almost 3 hours away, and traveling that long by train is not really for an infant), but I don't think we'll get one before that. too bad because I'd love to have a car (I grew up among cars ^^ ), but I realise it'd be money down the drain.

I also love to walk too, and do it often. most of the time I combine walking with public transportation, and I often just walk certain distances instead of waiting for a connection to go 1-2 stops with it.
And every year it's a big challange to travelling by car in Budapest because of the big roadworks.

I've never been motivated to learn to drive but I don't miss that at all. When the weather accepts to it I go by bike everywhere but if it's not available than I go by walk or public transport.

I guess that has something with being aspie.

Since my workplace is in the next town I go to work by bike from spring to autumn sometimes early winter depends on weather or by train and local bus/walk during the cold and snowy time period.

It takes for me about 45 minutes by bike going on the cycle roads but if I would go on the main road for a short time than it would be about 30 minutes. In winter when I can't go by buke it's about 90 minutes because the change.

Off Topic / Question about Netvibes
« on: August 14, 2014, 11:54:53 AM »
When last year Google sot down it's RSS reader site I moved to Netvibes to follow tumlrs and blogs via RSS.

Anyway I just noced that some of the tumblr's name had suddenly changed to someting inappropriate.

What does it mean? Could the sites might be infected or what? As I experienced in the last 1 year Netvibes shows every changes (even name changes or status changes like when a tumblr I follow is being removed).  :what:

Is anybody here lives in a passive house? :lookround: I wonder because I would like to hear some experiances. I wish I will be able to live in one sometimes in the future because all what I read on the internet are sounds good and all but I haven't read or heared any experiences from people who lives/lived in a passive house.

The town Dunakeszi is a small town with about 40,000 people but it was just around 30k about 10 years ago. It's a small sleeping town about 20 kilometers from the capital citty of Hungary Budapest.

I like to living here. It's quiet but it's close to Budapest and it has got great infrastucture so before the economic creasis a lot of people moved out here. Unfortunetly the town is in a small cisis recently and I can see many closed shops but I'm sure it will be better soon.

I can't wait to learn what will be the roll of Durotan, Ogrimar Doomhammer. Oh and dont't forget about Gul'dan who will be in the background because Gromash is leading the new hore in a new way without the help of the demons. This new horde will be called to the Iron Horde which means with Gromash's lead they are focusing to their natural war potentionals.

Oh and as you might noticed in the teaser Gromash didn't arrived into Draenor with bare hand but with plans of war machines.

so if trolls and tauren are going to defect to the alliance.. do you think we'll be able to choose sides next expansion? like are they going to have 2 alliance races do the same then and then we'd have 4 choices besides pandaren that you can pick your faction??
Well I belive for the horde the objective will be to collecting Garrosh but it's too early to know for sure since Blizzard just announced it.
