2012 Virginia Pony Meet - August 18th

I'm soooooo looking forward to seeing everyone again!!!  It's going to be really close to us this year.

An hour is probably a bit much, but if anyone wants to come see my pony room after the meet, you're certainly welcome!  Last time everyone came my collection was sitting in boxes in my living room.

I may be attending! Does it cost anything to come?

No, we don't charge anything to attend. The only thing we will probably do closer to the meet is we will probably setup a list of foods/drinks/etc that we need and that people can volunteer to bring. So those that attend can help support the meet by bringing items on the list.

Also if attendees have ideas for games or other activities in addition to our usual activities those ideas are welcome. or if people would like to donate to the prize table - that is always an option as well. If someone would like to do a demostration or host and event you can always PM me or Princessmaker with your ideas.

Anyone interested in attending just remember you do need to PM me your email so I can add you to the mailing list. The mailing list is where the location for the meet comes from. Since we are not really setup to accept random people showing up unannounced and to be on the safe side we just prefer to keep the location between ourselves and those that really are interested in attending It also helps us know how much food/supplies we need

Less than two weeks to go!

I've finally got an idea for a custom to show off (no prizes for me ) the question is whether or not I actually get it finished.

We are getting last minute items taken care of, and food, activities, and prizes have been figured out.

Now for the bad news. No Jones Sodas at the meet this year. We will award them with prizes and mail them out as we have done before, as soon as we do get them in.

Back to the good stuff. We will be having something to raffle off at the meet, so be prepared! We try to get something people are going to want and what they may not have, even if it's not the Pony Everybrony Wanted.

Also, as promised last year, the trivia game has been re-worked and will be much shorter! Less exam-y, more fun.

I'm excited I started two customs for the contest not sure if I'll enter both

I hope I can still make it we don't have our own car yet so I'll have to barrow a car or get my 'brother' to drive me or maybe I'll get lucky and we'll get a car before the meet I hope

ok talked it over with the other half we are deffently comming! I might be bring three people with me not sure yet.

I just finished my customs for the contest, I'm going to see if I can do a few to sell any requests?

I also have a really cool custom playset I'm finishing up for the meet wait till you guys see it!

I can't believe we're less than a week away!!!

I'm hoping to come across some playsets this year, as I didn't find any at the MD meet...so if you're on the fence about bringing something bulky, check my need list! :-D

I'm also always on the lookout for other lines besides MLP!

Just FYI so folks know that bringing extras might not be a waste

Phew! The pace is getting crazy hectic around here.

Just a quick word to let everyone know:
The official RSVP cutoff is tomorrow afternoon. This means that if you are planning on seeing us on Saturday, and have not emailed us by 4pm tomorrow, AND we have not emailed you a confirmation of any sort, you will not receive a goody bag. You are still more than welcome to come and celebrate with us.

Also, we have heard from most of you who need tables and so have those reserved for you. If you have not asked us for one and think you may need one, PLEASE be aware that we may have access to more, but that may not be the case. We won't know for sure until we have access to the Elk's Lodge on Friday. Please have a back up plan.

Well, I'm going to be in town this weekend, however I won't be able to stay for the whole meet if I make it.  So many of my friends made plans for me after I told them I'd be in VA that I'm on a really tight schedule now!  Most likely my neice and I will be there in the morning and be able to stay for a couple hours.  We'd be gone before lunch, so no worry about us using anything up!  Lol!  Sorry I had such a wrench thrown into my planning, I originally planned this trip BECAUSE of the meet!  But with a little as I see my friends back in VA, I have to give them priority with my time.  And I know my neice is dying to see her school friends too, so I'm bringing her along so she can visit before school in NC starts.  I'll shoot you an email tonight for sure though!
