Stinky hair
« on: May 26, 2024, 03:41:08 AM »
Please move if this is the wrong place.

Hello everyone,

I have a baby schoolbag with nice hair. Except it stinks. I tried washing it twice with shampoo but it didn't help.

Any advise is welcome :)

Cheers,

Luke

What does it smell like? Smoke? Mold?

You can try a vinegar and baking soda paste. Soak the hair in white vinegar and then sprinkle on some baking soda. Let it sit for a few hours. Then wash with cold water. If it doesn't work the first time, do it again.

Cat litter in a bag can also do the job.
If it still stinks, try to check if it's not tail rust. Otherwise you might want to pop the head open for a good clean inside.

Thanks for the advise. She smells sour, unlike I have ever seen before.

Thansk for the advice. I do have cat litter at home. She doesn't appear to have tail rust but I haven't opened her up.
