Personal Interview-Where did you get your user name?When I was signing up on the Trading Post, I went through several pony names but couldn't decide on one pony to become my user name. So I decided to become Ponyfan, fan of many ponies.
How old are you?The actual number is top secret, but I'm old enough to remember G1 ponies being in stores.
Do you go to school or work?Work
What are your hobbies? I like to read, diamond paint, watch anime and play video games. I also read manga.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?Tough question. The only country I've been to outside the US is Mexico. I wouldn't want to live there though. Maybe France or Japan.
Do you collect anything other than ponies?I also collect Barbie, Rainbow High, Miraculous Ladybug, Disney, Disney dolls, Ever After High, Ariel/Disney's The Little Mermaid stuff.
Ponies-How long have you been collecting ponies?I've been collecting for quite a while now. I had a lot of childhood ponies, but went through a time when I thought I'd never be in to them again and made some decisions with my childhood ponies that I still regret. Most of my childhood ponies are still with me or I replaced them as a adult collector but some of them got away.
Why did you start collecting ponies?I wanted to get the ponies I never had as a child or replace the ones I had that were thrown away like my adult Wavedancer/Wavebreaker sea pony.
Who is your favorite pony and why?G1 Twilight the unicorn. I'm not sure how she become a favorite, but she did. I have a small army of customs of her in different generations too.
Who is your favorite pony from another country?The white Starlight Baby.
Also the My Little Pony Tales ponies. I didn't even know they existed until I started collecting as an adult. Ladybird is nice, but I will never be able to own her. The Takara ponies are cute too.
Who is your favorite fakie?The all white Design Your Own Unicorn fakie that was sold at Five Below a few years ago. I'm usually not a fakie person, but she's so pretty.
Who was your first pony?G1 Cotton Candy. My mom remembers picking her out for me at the store.
What pony did you get recently?If we're talking actual ponies, it was the Basic Fun Twinkle Eyes set. If you mean pony related things it was the Typo G1 ornaments right before Christmas.
What is your favorite generation?G1
What is your favorite part about collecting?I love learning about "new" ponies that I didn't know existed and I've met some great people here to share my love of ponies and other interests with.
How big is your collection?I haven't counted them lately, but it's probably on the smaller side.
What do your friends and family think about your collection?They're supportive. One of my really good friends has been responsible for giving me a lot of the ponies in my collection.
Do you still play with your ponies?I enjoy taking pictures of them and if they're small enough making silly photos with them.
What rare or popular pony makes you ask why!?I'm not a fan of Mimic. The second one that came to mind is Sweet Scoops.
If you had to have a pony symbol tattooed on your butt, which would you pick and why?I don't like needles, so a tattoo is out of the question for me, but if I had to, I'd probably pick Twilight's stars. I would know it's from a pony but people that weren't familiar with ponies would just think I liked stars.
What is your biggest collecting accomplishment?Owning a MOC G1 pony. I missed the early days when MOCs were cheap so I thought I'd never own one, but thanks to a really good friend. I have one now.
What is your biggest collecting regret?I wish I knew about fading pink hair when I first started collecting as an adult. I faded a G3 pony's hair from pink to white, because I didn't know it would do that in sunlight. I still have her and someday will have her pink haired twin sister join her.
I also wish I had the ponies that my grandma bought for me and changed her mind. My mom remembers my grandma showing them to her and they were still on the cards. I'm pretty sure my aunt threw them away because she thought they were just useless toys.
I wish I had been in to collecting ponies in the early G3 days. I missed a lot of great ponies simple because I wasn't interested at the time.
Who is your grail pony and why?
Do you have it?My first one was SS Twilight. She was the only pony my grandma never allowed me to take home. I was going to grab her the next time we went to my grandparents house and she was gone when we came back. I'm pretty sure my aunt got rid of her too.
I was finally able to replace her though.
My 2nd one was any MOC G1 pony. I am the happy owner of MOC Blueberry Baskets.
Do you prefer loose or MIP ponies?
I like both.

Are you a customizer?
Would you ever be?No. I don't have the skills to create customs. If I tried it would probably look like something a 2 year old did.
What do you think of custom ponies?I love them, I'm lucky enough to own a few customs and they have a special place in my collection.
What are acceptable and unacceptable pony flaws, in your opinion?I'm okay with marker on hooves, some small spots that are barely noticeable. I don't like ponies with all of their manes and tails cut off or super scratched up symbols or eyes. Also, no ponies with their names tattooed on them with ink.
Would you rather have a bait pony or a fakie?I don't like bait ponies so I'll say a fakie. I'm not a big fakie fan, but some of them are cute.
Do you watch pony shows/movies?
Which ones?Yes. I watch G1, G3 and G4 shows and movies. I've seen the first G5 movie but nothing else from that generation. The last pony thing I watched was the end of Equestria Girls, Rainbow Rocks because I love the Dazzlings "Welcome to the Show"
Do you read pony comics?
Which ones? I'd love to read more pony comics especially the G1 ones. I don't own any though so I've only read what's been posted here or on LadyMoondaner's site.
The only G4 comic I read was the prequel one to the movie.
What is the worst thing you've ever done to a pony?When I first found my childhood ponies in the garage, I peeled some film off of Mirror Mirror's symbol because it was already warped and peeling, and I'd never seen that on a pony before. I also threw away ponies that I thought couldn't be fixed. I wouldn't do that now though.
