G1 Taffy Flocking Question
« on: April 21, 2022, 03:30:31 PM »
Hello, all! It's been a while :-)

I'm clearing out some of my collection, and I wanted to ask you kind folks for a little advice.

I'm planning on parting ways with a Taffy I got from another collectors "project box". The flocking on her body is in fair condition; some discoloration on her hooves, and lint caught in it, but overall intact. However, her head is almost completely unflocked, with just old yellowed glue.

What would you do in my situation? Should I finish the job and deflock her entirely? Or just sell her as-is?

Thanks!

If you aren't going to keep her, then you should sell her on and let the buyer decide what to do :)

If I was keeping her I'd get her deflocked, but if I was selling, I'd keep her as-is and leave it up to the buyer to decide what they wanted to do with her.

sell as-is!  flocking is such a personal thing in a collection

Since you're planning to sell her, I'd sell as-is and let the new owner decide.

If it was one I was going to keep, I'd either try to clean the glue off her head and attempt to reflock her head or deflock the rest of her depending on if I thought I could reflock her head at all.

I would keep her intact if I was keeping for myself. :) I agree with letting the buyer decide.
