Whose hat is this?

Hi all!
I found a princess hat at the carboot today, but I’m not sure whose it is. It’s purple with silver glitter like princess Tiffany’s (USA) or princess amethyst (in the U.K.) but it has plain light pink ribbons.
Is it from another toy line perhaps?

I think that's exactly what it is. The hat is definitely Princess Tiffany's. ...Actually, since you're in England, it probably came from a Princess Aquamarine (known as Serena here in the States).

EDITED because I got the UK owner of the hat wrong.

The ribbon is obviously a replacement. The original probably got torn up, or just pulled out and then lost; it happens. Or maybe the previous owner just liked the flat pink better; who can say? The elastic strap is also MIA.

If you got it in the UK, it's Aquamarine's hat.

The ribbons have been swapped out though. She should have pale yellow ribbons with gold edge.

I can't remember all the US hats at the moment but I suspect even with the diff. colours the rule of thumb still applies. They come in pairs - heart/teardrop, moon/star, flower/butterfly, depending in the symbol of the princess pony, so that can help narrow it down as well xD.

(Sapphire is a moon/star combo, her hat shade is actually darker than Aquamarine's is but that's not always clear from a photo xD. And her hat also often came with Amethyst as well, which messes up the above pattern beautifully, but that's entirely beside the point.)

ETA - I'm betting Chrissytree's site linked above has a better image of both hats to compare them than I can provide loose on my ponies xD.

EDIT: If the boxed photos on MLW are at all reliable, it's Aquamarine's hat in the UK reckoning, since it has the hearts and teardrops.

I guess the most important thing is that the OP's puzzle is resolved But I wouldn't have posted anything if your original post identified it as Aquas. I only posted because nobody did, and editing it then makes those replies all redundant, even though most of them were posted before you edited. It's not just the post you made while I was typing, you went back and edited your original one as well.

That's basically what I mean.

Thank you! Looking at the pictures, it’s sapphires colour but aquas pattern, probably just batch issues.
Aquamarine is another pony to track down! I don’t mind not having a pony’s accessories, but I feel a need to have the pony if I get the accessories first, lost pony seems sadder than accessories! Hopefully they’ll be reunited soon!

It is variant and belonged to one of the UK Princess variants or Happy Tails variants (such a Bobbie).

They can come also plain with out glitter, they never had elastic and plain rather than glitter trimmed ribbons.
