Daddy Sweet Celebrations Fade?

I remember a while ago I saw a listing on eBay for a Daddy Sweet Celebrations, but he was white instead of the light blueish green color. Can he (and I guess the rest of the Sweet Celebrations family) fade to white? I took a screenshot of it a while ago (like last year) so if you guys need the picture I can try my hardest to find it.

i’ll go look at mine.  I haven’t checked them recently but I think he’s still green/teal.
(G1s are out of rotation on my display shelf atm)

I wonder? I know there are Colombian versions of these guys. I think one of them was a different color.

I don't think he's prone to it, but I'm sure it could happen if he got the right (or wrong!) chemicals on him.

Also it's possible that the seller's camera was funky and washed out his body color.  I have that problem when photographing certain ponies.  (That and getting Lemon Drop's hair to show up the right color.)

Ooh I'd love to find a white Daddy SC! Iirc early prototypes of him had his family as white and they were so pretty.

Was that in the US, or elsewhere?  The Toy Fair catalogs I have show the Loving Families in their 'normal' colors, but two of the families have slightly different names.

Yeah I was thinking that it might be that version, but if memory serves me right the hair was closer to the more bluer color than the green as the prototype.

Ah, that's the book I have!  The family actually isn't actually white in the pic, the scan just washed them out a little.

Taking that into consideration, I think the most likely thing was that the camera that the seller was using just washed out his colors...hopefully. Otherwise I'll have to forever live with the knowledge that I passed up a possibly rare error pony.
