What made you smile today?

I got some sleep at night. I actually slept continuously from 10pm to when my cat woke me up at 7:30. That's a LONG time for me I'm still a teensy bit tired, I think from my medicine, but I'm feeling more awake and normal than i have for the last few days. I'm going to get things done today

My caffeine dependence is on another level lately (probably not a good thing), but coffee definitely made me smile today.

I had a long break in another city and the sun was shining so I went to sit by the water in the marina. A duck was grooming herself very thoroghly, and it was so relaxing to watch. First she went under water and came up flexing her wings over and over and then she went up on a pontoon and started to preen herself with the beak allover. It took her around half an hour until she was satisfied and went back into the water.

Yesterday I was happy to have brunch with my work friend group. We never see each other over the summer much. Today isn't over yet but I'm going to go see the Barbie movie so I expect that to be fun and exciting.

My dad said he found my dog sleeping close to where I was sleeping this morning.  She usually stays in her pet bed.

I finally sold my guitar and amp! I got $200 for them from a nice guy who I think will take care of them My dad bought me that amp when I was 13. I've been lugging it around forever. Saying goodbye was bittersweet, but I'm glad I don't have to store it in my closet anymore.

I got sent a link to a film of the Admont Abbey Library in Austria. Holy S*** guys! The library from Beauty and the Beast exist for real! I wanna go so bad!

I bought a new water fountain for my cat. The old one, they remodeled the filters and they don't fit anymore. So she's been using a bowl that I would clean out every other day. So anyway, I got this nice stainless steel fountain that has two spouts. She loves it! She's drinking way more water I also got her a new food dish that's elevated and tipped forward. Supposed to help with vomiting.

I finally sold my cage! $20 less than I was asking but still a good chunk. Now I can put this toward the cage I should have gotten the first time.

I shouldn't laugh at this, but it's so funny it's hard not to. 

Yesterday, my parents and I went out to eat.  At some point, my mom lost her fork.  Today when she opened her purse at home. she found the fork. My mom would never take something from a store or restaurant that doesn't belong to her. She had no idea the fork was in her purse.   She's going to take it back to the restaurant and not keep it, but it's just so funny.
