Favorite Way To Add Life to Dry or Frizzy Pony Hair
« on: January 16, 2017, 10:02:58 AM »
What are your favorite ways to add life back to dry pony hair? Especially ones with factory curl, where you don't want to use heat and ruin their curl.

For me, I'm finding washing with conditioner and then using a flat iron on lowest setting or even my curling iron that has a much lower heat setting on wet pony hair work awesome. I've tried the boiling water, but it seems to only work on my ponies that only have a little bit of frizz.  I have one severe frizz pony that nothing has worked on.

But then I have complicated ponies, like my summer wing ponies that still have factory curl in their hair. I want to silken their hair, without using heat that will flatten those factory curls.

Leaving it in conditioner. Sadly it hasn't helped Sparkler and Paradise.

When you leave it over extended periods, do you just periodically re-dampen the hair with conditioner still in it? I left one in conditioner and the conditioner dried. I'm thinking it needs to be dampened every now and then to be effective.

I use both hair and cloth conditioner. It's interesting how the most expensive conditioners worked better.
