Happy Tails rehair help?

I'm in the middle of prepping a rough shape Romper and need help removing her tail + mechanism.
Her head's already off but I can't get the mechanism out of her head-hole. 

Advice maybe?

It should come out with a little persuasion. You kind of have to almost turn the pony inside out.

I read that, I don't know what it means to "bend out the whole thing inside of her."
Or how to turn a pony inside out.
