Pony Problems
« on: October 08, 2016, 08:24:19 AM »
I have a limited pony budget so often the ponies I buy have problems of some sort or other and I'm happy to fix them up as best I can.  I'm still very much a novice in this area.

Recently I bought Tex and Lemon Drop and I can't work out if they have pony cancer or pin dot mold - Tex has a few "spots" in his neck area, just literally pin prick size.

Lemon Drop has the same, pin prick size although she has many more

I've got the pony preservation project website bookmarked so I'm pretty much good to go, it's just working out the exact problem these two have!

Definitely would need to see photos... it sounds like pindot, but you want to be sure.

Only of Tex at the moment, I'll get some of Lemon Drop, probably be tomorrow now in natural light as the lights starting to go a bit here for clear photos.

I think you can see it on this pic, about 3 spots just down from his shoulder

pindots/smooze look more like blackheads sort of, like it's dirt in the pores of the plastic (which it is), so that's definitely something else. I love his look tho, with the hawk and no lashes xD

Hmm, I'm not aware of a cure for age spots :/ Anyone else have any ideas? I love his mohawk, by the way :)

Thanks!

He came with his mohawk, he classed as bait and in time I want to rehair him along with his companion who I bought at the same time - Tug (Salty)

Though it has to be said I am quite liking him with his er very individual hair do!

A Hydrogen Peroxide/sun soak will often fade them.  Those look raised to me, am I correct?  If dirt is causing it, peroxide is great for cleaning things like that out.  Just PLEASE read the Materials and Directions section of my site before trying things so you are aware of potential side effects.
