Which G1s (or other gens) would you like to see as a G4?

None of them, if they'd be the same quality as the current G4's.    Not even my most favourite Sugarberry could tempt me into buying something that'll degrade in a few short years. 

In the 'what-if' realm of actual quality control & decent materials, Sea Ponies would be neat.  I think their designs would translate pretty well to the tiny-nose / big head style of G4.

Sadly, this is how I feel as well... I'm getting rid of all but one of my G4s after already getting rid of most years ago. Heads and bodies shouldn't mismatch in months when kept in the dark :/

If we're talking about Fashion Style size though (I haven't heard of any head-body mismatch or stuff like that happening with them yet), I'd buy Sundance in a heartbeat. I'd buy any pretty much any G1 in FS size. Seaponies would be awesome too.

I think at this point, any Hasbro-produced G4 versions of G1 ponies would be just as poor quality as the ponies they're producing now, so that'd just make me sad. I've seen so many cute G4 customs of G1 ponies, though, and so many of them are really well done! I'd love to have G4 customs of the sitting pose ponies, particularly Seashell and Bubbles.

Sea ponies and merponies. The playsets could have little clamshell stands that would open up like a Polly pocket case and come with seaweed, shells, coral and marine life.

I'd actually buy that and buy a lot of them.

The original 6 ponies. The G1s the mane 6 are based off. All Sweetberry Ponies. All Sparkle Ponies. Pretty much all the boys, probably most particularly Barnacle, Ice Crystal & Tex. For purely personal reasons, my childhood ponies not already included in the above categories: Braided Beauty, Magic Hat, Baby North Star & Tootie Tails. Also, Star Shine because she reminds me of Celestia and Munchy because she's awesome and I love food themed ponies.

I'm glad to read I'm not the only one thinking that. I wonder if 30 years from now the toys they sell will look as good as the G1 do right now.   Besides they look weird... but it is only my point of view. I find that all the toys they are making, and cartoons and all that stuff just look alike. Can't find any difference between them. They are all powerpuff girls like... is it done on purpose?

Yeah, the quality of G4 has really decreased in the last few years, they don't make toys like they used to. If you are going to purchase a G4, i would say get some of the very first ones that came out, they seem to be better quality, and their hair is better, too.

I think I would go with G3 or G2 being rebooted as G4s. I could go for any of the G3 babies being done as the cutie mark crusaders so cute.
