If you got one of those email coupons for a FREE Build A Bear and aren't planning to use it, consider using it to make a special gift for whatever toy drive you prefer to donate to for the holiday season? Just put it in a garbage bag, box and all, until it's time to donate it, that way it won't get dusty.

It will only cost you a bit of time, and I'm sure someone would be THRILLED to get a real Build A Bear plush as a gift for Christmas.

If a lot of people(more than 10, I'll say) like the idea, I'll try to do a raffle for those who donate, but I'll have to figure out what I can give as prizes before I make any promises!

That is a great idea. It's too bad I don't live close to a BAB and am on a limited budget right now.

I thought you meant the coupons where you get so much off of a stuffed animal at BAB not a completely free one. I don't think I've ever gotten one of those coupons. I would totally do this is I got one of those.

editied the first post to make it clearer, I got one today in my email for a free $12 "furry friend" plush, that's what got me thinking.

They emailed me one; I think it's because I haven't bought anything in a long time(not since the last ponies came out!)

Wow, I wish I got a free coupon from BaB! This is a great idea but I've never even heard of such a coupon. I know they did the $5 bears earlier this month and that's the best deal I've heard of.

Brilliant idea! I got one of those coupons today. I haven't decided if I want to use it for myself or not yet.

I have donated BABs to our local toy drive before. I find them at Goodwill ALL the time. Most in perfect condition. Our local toy drive accepts gently used toys (unlike most toy drives nowadays) so it's easy for me to donate all kinds of cool things. I'm not going to be able to get to a BABW before the coupon expires, so I would have to order online and pay shipping. I could buy 3 BABs at Goodwill for what BABW charges for shipping on one.

If I decide not to use my coupon I'll offer it up here for someone that wants to donate a bear.

I wanted to use mine, but I won't get the chance; we hardly ever get up that way, especially this year. I'd be happy to pass it along to someone who could use it, only I'm wondering if the code is specific to each person it's sent to and I'd get in trouble with the store if I passed it on to someone else?
